Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs made headlines recently after reports came about that he was caught with an alcoholic drink at Fort Dix, where he is currently held. Meanwhile, a representative of his shared a statement about the incident. On November 9, People magazine published a report comprising the representative’s statement in which the latter said:“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs. He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”The statement went on:“This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there. We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”Earlier, a statement concerning the said incident was also posted on Diddy’s official account, but it now seems to have been taken down. Similar to the representative’s comment, the statement said that the rumors of Combs being busted in prison were untrue. The rapper’s priority has been to work on himself and to return to his loved ones.Diddy had previously written a letter to Judge Arun Subramaniam, where he highlighted his sobriety journey. He wrote:“For starters, I am now sober for the first time in 25 years. I have been trying my best to deal with my drug abuse and anger issues and take accountability as well as positive steps towards healing. One of the most beautiful things I have experienced is being asked by my fellow inmates to teach and mentor them. This is a very serious mission, very high-risk mission that God sent me on.”Combs went on to say:“It ain't even a black or white thing at this point. You know what I'm saying? It's love versus hate. And if you see the devil, tell him, I'm looking for him.”He remembered that his first job was that of a paper boy, and at that point, he wasn’t allowed to even be a waiter. Diddy would dance around clubs, but also struggled with depression. However, he still considered himself to be the greatest dancer in the world. He said he would dance so well that people would pick him for the music videos.Diddy credited record executive Andre Harrell for his success. He said Harrell taught him everything and allowed him to be himself. Harrell even told Combs that the latter was the “original intern” in the field.
