Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards 2025: Complete list of winners and nominees explored

The Dublin Film Critics Circle has officially announced its winners for this year. The awards are voted on by professional reviewers based in Dublin.

This year's Dublin Film Critics Circle awards were led by Ryan Coogler's Sinners, which topped multiple categories. The Dublin Film Critics Circle's 2024 winners were as follows:

  • Best Film: The Zone of Interest
  • Best Director: Jonathan Glazer, The Zone of Interest
  • Best Actor: Ralph Fiennes, Conclave
  • Best Actress: Mikey Madison, Anora
  • Best Screenplay: Jonathan Glazer, The Zone of Interest
  • Best Documentary: Will & Harper
  • Best Irish Film: Kneecap
  • Best Cinematography: Stéphane Fontaine, Conclave
  • Best Breakthrough: Nykiya Adams, Bird

Sinners won multiple awards, including best film, best director, best actor, best screenplay, and best cinematography. Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another was placed second in multiple categories at the 2025 DFCC awards. In the Irish categories, Christy and Blue Road: The Edna O'Brien Story were notably featured.

An official description of the Dublin Film Critics Circle reads:

"Established in 2006, The Dublin Film Critics Circle offers the city's full-time professional movie reviewers an opportunity to pool opinions on recent releases, consider movie heritage and whinge about each other's shortcomings."
