Vera Farmiga joins Patrick Wilson in The Conjuring: Last Rites, the ninth chapter and reportedly the final chapter of the Conjuring franchise. Its official synopsis reads,

"Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite for one last case as renowned, real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in a powerful and spine-chilling addition to the global box office-breaking franchise."

The official teaser of The Conjuring: Last Rites has just dropped online, and it shows professed demonologist Ed Warren (Wilson) entering a dimly lit room filled with paraphernalia that is either haunted, cursed, or has been used in some sort of ritualistic practice. So, Ed warns his guest/s to be careful when they join him in this space.

"Nothing's a toy, not even a toy," he mentions as the camera shows the haunting Annabelle doll in a glass box.

Later in the teaser, clairvoyant and trance medium Lorraine Warren (Farmiga) joins him as she sees a hand creeping over the shoulder of her family member. Soon, they visit another family that witnesses paranormal activity, presumably when their young daughter sees the crawling doll doing something particularly creepy. Suddenly, a roof falls down, likely prompting the family to seek the counsel of the Warrens.

The latter part of the teaser doesn't reveal anything conclusive. It shows a series of people either spooked or terrified, screaming or panting, as they witness something. We rarely see what spooks them specifically, apart from the hint of a doll, a burning sign, or a basin suddenly overflowing with a pool of blood. It looks dark, mysterious, and probably just the kind that the fans look forward to in this series.
