Former basketball player Gilbert Arenas made a revelation on the recent episode of his show, which he co-hosts with director Josiah Johnson. The revelation appears to be in connection with the gambling scandal that involves names like Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier, and Damon Jones, the Basketball Network reports.Following the scandal, journalist Rachel Nichols claimed that Arenas had joined hands with the authorities in the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, on the recent episode of The Gilbert Arenas Show, the former player seemingly referred to Nichols’ claim, saying:“When they put that statement out there, that wasn’t a joking statement.”He added:“You're too famous. Like, you're too big to be putting my name in something like for clicks and views and trying to tie something because people really believe this sh*t and it kind of irritated the f*ck out of me.”Gilbert Arenas then said that since the claim used the word “allegedly,” he couldn’t take legal action against the person. "It says allegedly so I can't sue her. She used the perfect word. I can't sue her. Josiah said that people could say anything they wanted by adding “allegedly” in front of that, as it helps them stay out of any legal trouble. Arenas went on to say:“In this case, everybody who didn't use allegedly, you said I'm the snitch that started this. Well, I can prove that easy. Never had a conversation with law enforcement. There's always somebody there's already somebody on record that already has that title. I have nothing to do with this. I can prove that.”Gilbert Arenas said he could sue the personGilbert Arenas said that he could sue that person because he was not involved in snitching. He then asked his viewers to answer why they felt he was a snitch. Josiah answered, saying:“Because you did say that you would snitch.”Arenas commented:“So, I got arrested and I jokingly said I was snitch on my case. Right. So, you're using that I got arrested. For me to get less time I have to snitch on someone.”He said that the information was right in front of everyone, and people were using his name, which bothered him. In one of the older episodes on his show, Arenas said he was fine with being teased online, but he felt that Rachel Nichols went too far when she used his video and suggested that he might have ratted someone. Speaking about the allegations of being an informant, he said:“Informant? Nah nah nah, this is lunch... This is my lunch, man. I didn’t get to eat it over there, man. I was talking too much.”Jokingly, he said that when he saw the word “mafia” being used, it only showed Black people, which confused him. He wondered why she described it that way and joked that snitching on the mafia was dangerous since they were known to make people disappear, adding that he wanted to keep his YouTube career safe. Also Read: What is Gilbert Arenas's net worth in 2025?
