NFL rookie Travis Hunter has officially married his longtime girlfriend, Leanna Lenee. Their celebration has once again gained social media’s attention.

The couple went public about their marriage, with Lenee, who had been absent from TikTok for months, re-emerging to show off her wedding ring and gown, reigniting scrutiny and criticism online.

Lenee had been silent on social media since December 2024, when she was heavily criticized for her actions during Hunter’s Heisman Trophy party. Therefore, this marks her first major social media post since that time.

While some fans congratulated the newlyweds, there were others who did not approve of their marriage. The post sparked a wave of sarcasm and disbelief amongst the people, with one Instagram user commenting:

The drama only increased when a second video emerged from a New York post-ceremony Adidas pop-up event. It is claimed that Lenee, who seemed to be getting agitated, made a comment under her breath as Hunter interacted with his fans.

In response, Lenee explained on a TikTok video that she didn’t know where else to go after the event and stressed that the people interacting with Travis Hunter were Adidas workers, not fans.

“I said, ‘Do you want me to sit here? Or do you want me to go with the family?... “I wasn’t annoyed with no fans, at all. I’m never annoyed with fans. So that’s what that was.” She said in her TikTok video.

Following these controversies, Travis Hunter spoke out publicly in support of Lenee, explaining that the online hate had been damaging her mental health, leading to her crying herself to sleep and using alcohol to deal with the situation. He emphasized that they had been in a five-year relationship and completely disregarded any of the concerns his critics harbored about it.

"I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl's been with me for five years. Y'all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man." Hunter said during a Twitch stream.
