Beverley Allen, the mother of Christian Horner’s daughter Olivia, passed away recently, MailOnline reported. According to the outlet, she died merely 10 days before the British motorsport executive was sacked as team principal and CEO of Red Bull in F1, after a two-decade-long tenure.

Per MailOnline, Beverley Allen, 58, died last Monday after battling eye cancer, which she was diagnosed with two years ago. Christian Horner’s ex-partner was at her home in the Cotswolds, UK, at the time of her passing. MailOnline spoke to one of Beverley Allen’s friends after her demise, who told the outlet:

“Beverley was a lovely woman and it is so cruel what has happened to her. She found out she had eye cancer a couple of years ago and she was aware that it wasn't going to be a very good prognosis but it is still a devastating shock.”

They added,

“Beverley was loved by everyone who knew her. It's just heartbreaking.”

Beverley Allen stayed with her daughter and their two dogs in the Cotswolds village, MailOnline confirmed.

Beverley Allen and Christian Horner were together for nearly 14 years

Before marrying Geri Halliwell, the ex-Red Bull F1 boss was in a long-term relationship with the mother of his daughter, Olivia. While many outlets often label Allen and Horner as ex-spouses, some claim they never officially married. Beverley and Christian reportedly started their relationship in 1999.

MailOnline highlighted that Beverley Allen was by the Formula One executive’s side throughout “the early and mid 2000s.” The former couple welcomed their daughter in October 2013, but their relationship had a rather unamicable end. In 2014, Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell confirmed that they were together.

According to The Sun, the former racing driver’s parents, Garry and Sara Horner, were not happy with the way his relationship with Beverley ended. They reportedly didn’t attend Christian and Geri’s wedding. Per the outlet, Gary and Sara continued to have a close relationship with Beverley Allen and their granddaughter.

When Christian was marrying Geri, one of the former's family members was quoted as saying (via The Sun),

"You can say that his parents are absolutely devastated. We won't be going to the wedding. There is a lot more to this story than people know about — to do with his ex-partner."

However, despite previous troubles, Christian was able to mend things with Beverley and his parents, The Sun reported. MailOnline reported that everything was “harmonious” between them. Allen’s neighbor also told the publication that Christian Horner frequently visited Beverley in the last few months. They said,

“It's absolutely devastating news. She was a wonderful woman and we will all miss her. In recent months we've been seeing Christian visiting the house quite a lot and I think he was doing all he could to support her.”

Beverley, who was six years older than Christian, had two sons – Kieron, 35, and Liam, 31 – from a previous relationship. Horner was reportedly a “step father figure” to both of Allen’s sons.
