Brittany Snow is having one of the busiest years of her career. In just three months, the actress has been part of three major TV projects — The Hunting Wives and The Beast in Me on Netflix, and Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family. For Snow, 39, this period has been about taking on challenges and learning from them.

Speaking with PEOPLE at the New York City screening of The Beast in Me on November 5, Snow said the experience has been both demanding and rewarding. She said,

“This year has just been one of those years where I challenge myself, and sometimes I miss and sometimes I win, and I get to learn from it all.”

The actress believes these projects have helped her grow both personally and professionally. She explained that working on three very different shows back-to-back has given her the chance to test her limits and improve as an artist. She added,

“That’s really exciting for me.”

In Netflix’s mystery thriller The Beast in Me, Brittany Snow plays Nina. Nina is the wife of Nile Jarvis; Matthew Rhys plays Nile Jarvis, who is a real estate mogul. Claire Danes also stars in the series, in addition to Natalie Morales, Kate Burton, Jonathan Banks, and Will Brill. Snow elaborated that being part of such a cast was a major moment in her career, and she seems very proud of it.

She stated,

“I think this was such a departure for me in terms of getting to be a part of a show where I really admired everyone. Being able to be in the same community and the same room with some people that I grew up loving and holding my own — I’m really proud of myself for that.”

Brittany Snow also said that The Beast in Me was a project she felt deeply connected to. She noted,

“I’m really proud of this one.”

Previously, she has also confessed that working with Claire Danes, for The Beast in Me, was one of the most 'fan-girl encounters' of her career, citing growing up with Romeo + Juliet, Little Women, and My So-Called Life. Working with seasoned actors allowed her to acquire new capabilities. It also gave an avenue to acclimate to varied, creative settings. The series debuts on November 13.

Before taking on her recent roles, Brittany Snow took a two-year break from acting to focus on her mental health. In a July 2025 interview with PEOPLE, she revealed that the time away was essential to rediscover who she was and what she wanted.

“During that time, I had to learn how to handle my anxiety and my nerves. I didn’t think I was ever going to work again because I felt like I had to restart my career.”

Looking back, Brittany Snow said that decision helped her find a more sustainable way to approach her career. The break allowed her to focus on self-care, which later made it easier to handle busy periods like this one.

“That time off was hugely important for me to find out who I was. It was a restart, in a way, that gave me a clear path forward.”

Brittany Snow also shared that her idea of success has changed over the years.

“I think my idea of success when I was younger was this sort of one-track mind of needing to be Julia Roberts. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that there are many different forms of success. Success, to me, is the fact that I’m still doing this, and I love it even more now.”
