In 2024, actress and singer Cynthia Erivo was at the premiere of Wicked in London. At the show, she lost her hat only for it to be returned by one of her fans. Earlier this month, Erivo was attending the premiere of Wicked: For Good where she had an interaction with a fan named Clara in the street.Clara was at the 2024 premiere in London and found the hat after she went inside the theater after the film ended. She posted the video of the interaction on TikTok. As seen in the video circulating on X, Clara asked if she could say something to her. Cynthia Erivo agreed and Clara then said:“Last year at the London premiere, you forgot your hat. I have it.”Erivo was taken aback at the revelation. One of her team members then exchanged contact information with Clara so that the hat could be returned. The fan even showed a photo of Cynthia Erivo’s hat and when the actress saw it, she seemingly couldn’t hold her excitement.The actress also posted the video of her interaction with Clara on her Instagram. She also attached clips of her wearing the hat. The post was captioned:“We deserve each other. She said everybody had left and she was looking for her friends for half an hour. Then, she went inside the theater where she saw the hat. Clara then took a picture of the hat and shared it with her friend saying that somebody had left their hat in the theater.She said she had no idea that it was Erivo’s hat as the actress had already left. Clara mentioned:“So, I didn’t know that it was hers and then a guy who were working there and was cleaning everything and throwing things away said to me, ‘Do you want it? Or I am throwing it away in the trash.’ And I say, ‘Oh, I am taking it. I don’t know what I am going to do with it but I am taking it.”Clara said she was motivated to find the rightful owner of the hat. She then mentioned that she sent a photo of the hat to one of her friends who told her that it was Cynthia Erivo’s. Clara said:“So, I know she come to fashion week and we are from Paris and she always come for Louis Vuitton and for the after parties and I told I will tell her there and we'll bring the hat to her there. I had no chance in that actually.”Clara then showed how she put the hat in a paper bag with ‘W’ written on it. During her interaction with Cynthia Erivo, she told the actress that she was repeatedly asked by people to sell away the hat but she didn’t want to do it. The actress thanked her, saying she was a “good person.”
