Kelsey Grammer is proving it's never too late for fatherhood. At 70, the Frasier star is navigating life with his newest son, sharing that eight kids later, he's got a few new tricks up his sleeve.
In his recent chat with TMZ, the actor spoke candidly about fatherhood and parenting his eighth child — his fourth with his current wife, Kayte Walsh. When asked by the outlet how it has been having a new little one, Kelsey Grammer answered:
"It's wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. You forget how, what a blessing it is to have a small child in your life. I turned as I left tonight and turned to look at my four kids and my beautiful wife. It does not get better."

The High Expectations actor also revealed the advantages of raising a baby at his age.
"The point is, I guess, wisdom has something to do with it. A little bit more mileage. Yes, I know things are less important than you think they are when you're younger, and some things are more important like quality time with the kids."
Kelsey Grammer continued:
"That's something that's really important, you know. When you're a young man, you try to carve out your niche, your place where you can take care enough of the family and become the man you want to be. But that can be pretty time-consuming."
Meanwhile, the actor shared how he and his family are preparing for Christmas.
"We're still working on that. We're starting the trimming tomorrow."
Kelsey Grammer reveals what makes him "the happiest" as a dad
Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh welcomed their fourth baby last October during his guest appearance on Pod Meets World. At the time, he revealed:
"It was like three days ago. Christopher, that's just joined the family."

The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, are also parents to Faith Evangeline Elisa, born in 2012, and sons Gabriel Elias (2014) and Auden James Ellis (2016).
Kelsey Grammer is also a father to four other children from his previous relationships: Spencer Grammer with his first wife, Doreen Alderman; Greer Grammer with his ex-girlfriend, Barrie Buckner; Mason Grammer and Jude Grammer with his third wife, Camille Donatacci.

His latest TMZ conversation isn't his first time talking about his fondness for fatherhood. In 2024, during his interview with Variety, he spoke about being "the happiest" when all his children are together.
"My children — my young children, older children — the happiest I ever am is if they’re all in the same room together. My work has allowed me to be able to do that. I've been given this great experience. It's been painful and challenging and hard and tragic — all those things. But boy, it's a great life. And I want to pass that on to them."
