Kevin Gates and Brittany Renner’s whirlwind romance has hit a roadblock, with Renner revealing that she and Gates are getting divorced after just 52 days of marriage. Their brief marriage has gained an unusual amount of interest from the people, especially about how the duo got together in the first place.

According to Hot New Hiphop, The 2022 Rolling Loud Miami is when Gates and Renner first made their public appearance together. They supposedly met backstage, and the audience observed flirtatious chemistry between them.

She later confessed he was one of the artists she had gone to see in the 2019 Rolling Loud. In Reply to this Gates asked,

"Did you like what you saw?"

To this, Renner replied:

"I actually loved it, I actually love what I'm seeing now."

Following this, Renner also starred in Gates’ music video for his song Bad For Me that same year. On-screen chemistry between the two sparked more rumors, and, in retrospect, fans feel it provided a preview to a new relationship that had not yet been publicly announced.

She accused Gates of manipulating her, and faulted Brittany Renner for being hypocritical in seeing a man she says was involved in other relationships as well.

In spite of the controversies, Brittany Renner insisted that her choices are those that led to personal growth and clarity. She has since sat down for an interview, revealing that she and Kevin Gates married on April 6, 2025, but legally filed for divorce by May 28. Looking back on her breakup she said in an interview with REAL 92.3 LA,
