Jesus Guerrero's cause of death has officially been confirmed almost 4 months after his sudden death at the age of 34. A death report from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner released on June 2, 2025 details Guerrero succumbing to complications of severe pneumonia and fungal infection due to the result of an impaired immune system.
The celebrity hairstyling expert who had worked with the likes of Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Camila Cabello, died on February 22, 2025. Guerrero grew up in Houston with his immigrant parents and eventually became one of the most sought after hair stylists to Hollywood’s elite.
Jesus Guerrero's family released a public notice announcing his death a day later on a GoFundMe page, saying that his passing was sudden and unexpected.
"Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly. Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston." His GoFundMe campaign bio read.
According to the recent medical reports, Guerrero was said to be suffering from Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia and disseminated Cryptococcus neoformans. According to NewYork Post, these diseases develop in patients with very low immune response systems.
Kylie Jenner mourned Jesus Guerrero after his death in an emotional Instagram tribute, describing him as "a light in my life" who was "more than a friend." She also provided money to Guerrero’s family, helping pay his funeral costs. Jenner and Jennifer Lopez were at Guerrero’s funeral, which took place on March 30 in his hometown, Houston.
