How long have Alicia Hannah-Kim and Sebastian Roché been married? All about Cobra Kai star’s personal life

Alicia Hannah-Kim, who famously played Kim Da-Eun in Cobra Kai on Netflix, is in the news after accusing her co-star Martin Kove of assault outside a fan convention.

While the general media is focusing on her and the incident, fans are also curious about the Australian actress’ personal life, especially her longtime marriage to actor Sebastian Roché.

Alicia Hannah-Kim and Roché got married on May 31, 2014, and more than a decade later, they are still together.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple got married in front of about 50 guests at Chateau Les Bouysses in the South of France. The actor Oded Fehr officiated the wedding, which took place amidst a beautiful vineyard and a centuries-old castle.

The two celebrated their marriage with a romantic honeymoon in Corsica, during which Roché shared photos of the trip on his social media accounts. The two originally crossed paths within a shared set of industry circles, and though Hannah-Kim didn’t immediately call Roché after he slipped her his number, they remained friends before the friendship blossomed into romance.

Beyond her personal life, Alicia Hannah-Kim’s recent allegations against Martin Kove have garnered controversy. During the second day of a fan convention for Washington State, she stated Kove bit her on the arm hard enough to leave a bruise. When questioned about the behaviour, Kove reportedly admitted to the act but claimed it was a prank, referring to their onset of play fighting.

According to the New York Post, an officer at the scene observed the bite mark, but Hannah-Kim said she didn’t want to press charges and only asked for an official report of the incident. Kove was supposedly escorted out after the incident.

"He thought he was being funny, and they play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai, and he did not think it was a big deal," The officer's report stated.

The couple’s relationship has also survived the usual pressures of two busy acting careers. In a recent interview, they told People that they “hardly saw each other” as they were on opposite coasts during filming.

Roché was supposedly working in Mexico City and Texas, while Alicia Hannah-Kim was in Atlanta working on Cobra Kai and ultimately in Seoul shooting a K-drama. Thanks to their hectic schedules, the couple’s 10th anniversary flew by without them noticing it.

"We completely forgot, We were so busy that we completely [forgot]." Roché told People.

Even though they forgot to celebrate their relationship milestone, the couple insists that their relationship is healthy and unstructured. They prefer impromptu romance and shared understanding over strict schedules.

"We're not the kind of couple that has a 2-week [rule for] seeing each other at all, but also we're terrible at remembering anniversaries," Alicia Hannah-Kim added.

Sebastian Roché, who was previously married to actress Vera Farmiga, called Alicia Hannah-Kim "the one" shortly after meeting her. He proposed in Topanga Canyon the night before her birthday.

"I was smitten and knew she was 'the one.' We stayed friends nonetheless and thank goodness, turned into something more two and a half years ago. I proposed on the eve of her birthday in Topanga Canyon last year." Roché said in a 2014 interview with People.

Amidst all the recent controversy involving Martin Kove, it seems that the couple is staying strong without causing more drama.
