How long has DJ Enuff been with Hot 97? Funk Flex responds after the radio personality seemingly blames him for being fired

DJ Funk Flex has responded to DJ Enuff’s recent claims following his dismissal from Hot 97. Enuff, who worked with Hot 97 for 27 years, told TMZ exclusively that he felt Flex had something to do with his firing.

However, on September 1, Flex addressed the situation while on his radio shift. He said:

“TMZ could never twist me up to flip on my guy. I love him to death. Y'all could change words, do words, whatever. And you other two, snake number one, snake number two, hiding so far in the cut.”

Funk Flex added:

“Sometimes people have intent to help you into the grave. And I know how to read that. So, New York City, Jersey, Connecticut. I would never have anything to do, not just my brother. I would have nothing to do with anyone being fired or no longer here. You know why? I'm too hot.”

Funk Flex said he never felt worried about anyone being there and didn’t think anyone should be kept out. He explained that he didn’t believe in that or try to push that idea. Instead, he liked working hard and believed everyone worked hard in their own way.

Sharing a message to DJ Enuff, he said:

“You are my guy for life. I love you. I would never do anything like that to you. I think deep down, you know that. I'm not blaming it on anyone else. All I'm just saying is when you put DJs on, they're always supposed to prop you up and help you.”

Funk Flex also praised DJ Enuff, saying he was the one to introduce Spanish hip-hop parties. Additionally, Flex said Enuff also did two to three bookings every night, and he also moved around to perform.

However, as per Flex, over time, that stopped happening for DJ Enuff, and no one was giving him shows or bookings anymore. He added:

“So everybody, you know, listen, use the word snake, whatever you want to do. You can use all those words, but that when you use that snake and brotherhood and my brother, I love you. The people who snaked you, man, was in that video on your goodbye.”

Funk Flex continued:

“The people who snaked you were standing outside when you was with TMZ with you. They were standing with you, my brother. You go back to that video and you really look at their faces.”

While speaking to TMZ, DJ Enuff said he became emotional on his last day of work. When asked about being laid off, Enuff said it was time to move into the next professional phase. He said Funk Flex was staying. As per Enuff, it was time for him to say goodbye to the place.

The interviewer mentioned that there was a rumor going around that Flex was the reason DJ Enuff was fired. Enuff said, there was a possibility, and he thought so. However, he said he can’t prove the speculation yet; that is what he wholeheartedly feels. He also said that he had no communication with Enuff.
