Actor Kevin Sorbo’s son, Braeden Sorbo, was a guest on the Truth & Liberty show on September 6, where he spoke to Richard Harris. He is also the father of two other children: a daughter, Octavia Flynn Sorbo, and a son, Shane Sorbo. During the conversation, Harris asked Braeden how society can properly respect the differences between men and women. The star kid answered:
“Well, we have to realize that what the left has done to women is they've taken away true freedom and they've replaced it with what I call daycare, right? Corporate daycare. They told women that it was not empowering to raise a family, to take care of a household.”
He noted that men and women have historically shared roles, with men handling affairs outside the home and women managing the household and children. Richard Harris interrupted, noting how people from Braeden Sorbo’s generation were returning to the traditional forms of Christianity, while asking if they were also opting for traditional gender roles. He answered:
“There 100% is. I mean, I know more young women today who say they wish they didn't ever get the right to vote than I've ever talked to in my life, right? They go back and they go, ‘Well, if I never had this, then everything throughout the history with abortion and feminism and all of these things wouldn't have taken place.’”
Braeden Sorbo went on:
“And so, I would much rather give up my one right to vote if it meant 10,000 liberal women wouldn't be allowed to vote so that we could return our country to a better place.”
What does Braeden Sorbo think of the voting system?
Braeden Sorbo suggested that, since women managed the household, they should influence their husbands’ votes. He added that the husband’s responsibility was to protect and provide for the entire family, and his single vote should reflect that duty.
He claimed many people mistakenly viewed this as unfair, leading to societal consequences. He believed that, not only in America but across the West, there has been a noticeable decline in values and social cohesion. Richard Harris asked Braeden Sorbo:
“So, Braden, are you saying women shouldn't have the right to vote?”
He replied:
“Yes.”
When asked if he had publicly declared his stance before, he said there were multiple times when he shared his point of view. He further explained to Harris:
“My stance is a voting system based on Christian morals which relates to married couples having one joint vote. And so it's not women shouldn't vote. It's that women should vote with their husbands and husbands with their wives.”
Braeden Sorbo argued that society should have promoted cooperation between men and women, but instead, they were set against each other. He said this contributed to family breakdowns, children attending public schools, and conflicts between spouses. He believed this was one of the reasons America started to fall apart.
