American model Bella Hadid is currently facing online backlash after alleged tweets she posted as a teenager surfaced on the Faux Moi subreddit page, earlier this week. According to the Daily Mail, the Redditor who first uploaded the alleged tweets captioned it:

“I’m not surprised that a white celeb has a racist past but people hail her as their unproblematic princess. I wonder how this managed to fly under the radar.”

Netizens were quick to agree with the Reddit user and have labelled the alleged posts as problematic, racist, and offensive, among other things. Bella Hadid, 29, purportedly uploaded them between 2009 and 2015, majorly in 2012, when she was 16 years old.

In one, she allegedly used the N-word by writing:

“You can see my freckles, n***a!”

In another one, Bella Hadid seemingly asked a fellow user why he thought she was Black. A tweet featuring the anti-Black lyrics of rapper Tyler the Creator’s 2011 single French was also allegedly posted by the model in 2014.

“Got all the black b*tches mad because my main b*tch vanilla,” the alleged tweet read.

Now, in the wake of the viral Faux Moi subreddit, Bella Hadid is under fire.

“Why does every white teen have to be racist?” a user on X asked.

“White girls from this era were (and still are) so pathetic like they lack absolutely any sense of female solidarity and feel elevated over the most pathetic insecure n*gcel with low self-esteem,” another user wrote.

“It’s how they bond with each other,” a netizen wrote.

“It’s like a phase for them and it’s like wtf,” another netizen wrote.

“Right of passage,” an individual wrote.

Meanwhile, a few others weighed in and defended the supermodel.

“This is not racist. It’s just a teen commenting aleatory stuff,” a fan wrote.

“Because ya'll are so sensitive ya'll made it edgy. All kids want to be edgy,” wrote another.

Bella Hadid has not responded to the criticism as of writing.
