I guess the thing that I enjoy the most is how unabashedly grounded on the earth [...] she is.”Justine Lupe went on to say:“Babies don't have any self-consciousness, so they'll look you right in the eye and fart and don't have a bit of self-doubt about the situation, and I kind of love how carefree the whole vibe is.”On October 23, she sat for a conversation with the hosts of Today. When asked if she felt any pressure because people loved the first season (of Nobody Wants This), Justine Lupe said she hoped viewers would enjoy the new season the same way they did the previous one. She said:“You kind of have to just turn to your relationships on set. Turn to the writers. Turn to the team behind it.”According to her, if one relied on the people involved in the production process, they would be fine. She said she has now reached that level of trust, but initially hoped everything would go well. When asked how this changed her mindset, the actress said that at the time of the first, she was in the second trimester. During that time, she felt like she was in a renaissance. Justine Lupe went on to say:“So, the first season was a lot of fun and then the second season I got back to set. I was like pumping through like tight leather getups and like you know my character dresses like a real hot to trot lady. So, I was like trying to like sneak these pumps into like really tight outfits.”Justine Lupe explained that she went through certain hormonal changes. Speaking about hormonal changes, she told Who What Wear that she had anxiety, which scared her a little during that time. However, she was not only anxious but also sad. According to her:“My body was totally out of control, and my brain didn't understand what was going on. I didn't have any postpartum depression. But this was real, and I didn't know anything about it.”When Justine Lupe was pregnant, she said she received advice from her Succession co-star Sarah Snook. Lupe said that Snook suggested good podcasts. She also checked on her during her postpartum phase. The same was also true for Kristen Bell, as Bell often gave Lupe good advice on how to navigate the journey.
