Actor Hugh Grant was in attendance at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships with his spouse and TV producer, Anna Elisabet Eberstein. However, as seen in the photos and events from the tournament, the English actor seemingly took a nap while Novak Djokovic played.

Seated behind Queen Camilla, he was seen having a chat with her. Grant had dark sunglasses and wore a white shirt and a jacket.

Personalities like Glen Powell, Olivia Rodrigo, and David Beckham were among the others seated in the Royal Box. Meanwhile, social media users had interesting reactions to Hugh Grant seemingly napping. Here’s what they said:

“It was the blueberry pie,” an X user commented.
“I wish I looked as stylish,” a social media user wrote.
“I don't think he's such a huge fan,” a netizen shared.
“He was just resting his eyes,” an X user quipped.

In 2015, Hugh Grant was at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a golf tournament. Sharing his views, he said the atmosphere was tense as he was “level-pegging” with his brother, who could never defeat him in the sport.

He said:

“It was a very big treat when I was a golf addict which I was for ten years and even now that I don’t really play very much anymore. It’s just nice to be up. There’s nice air, nice people. There’s lots of drinking, lots of teasing. It’s fun to watch, captains of industry and professional cricketers really make a fool of themselves on the golf course.”

Here’s what Hugh Grant thinks of his role in Heretic

During a conversation with Willie Geist from Today in May 2025, Hugh Grant shared that after the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral, he mostly got offers for romantic comedies. He admitted that due to his eagerness for work, he accepted them.

He mentioned that it had been a long time since he played a nice character, but he had done enough of those roles earlier in his career. He also pointed out that, like many actors, he enjoyed playing villains more.

Speaking of his 2024 thriller, Heretic, he said:

“I was aware that at the beginning of the film when I answer the door to the girls, the whole film falls apart, if you think they are id**ts for going inside. So, he has to be sufficiently genial and unthreatening. There was fun to be had with him. That sounds odd for what is in partly a horror film.”

Hugh Grant added:

“But I felt that the more fun I had with him, the more horrifying the bits would be. I thought he was the trendy professor who kind of feels they are down with the kids and makes kind of contemporary references to rock music and films and things like that and kind of crazy glasses. I know that professor.”

Willie Geist asked Hugh Grant if it felt good to hear people say this was his best performance. The actor said it felt nice, and it would be untrue to say otherwise.

However, he also admitted that, because of his habit of being hard on himself, he often searched online for negative reviews and even looked through sites like Rotten Tomatoes to find the bad ones.
