Gypsy Rose Blanchard continued her conversation with Tori Spelling, a few days after announcing the completion of her parole.
In the recently released second part of her appearance on iHeartPodcasts’ misSPELLING, Blanchard spoke about her personal life and her future plans. During their discussion, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star mentioned about Gypsy being featured on docuseries and documentaries.
Spelling asked her guest about her interest in appearing on competition reality shows. Gypsy Rose Blanchard said she would “like to,” as she always watches them. The host, who has appeared on shows like The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars, gave Blanchard an option between the two. Gypsy replied:
“I don’t know. I mean, that’s the thing. I feel like I’m not talented with anything. I can’t sing, I can’t dance. But maybe…”
Tori interjected and asked Kristy, Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s step-mother, about her talents. The other guest replied:
“She got some moves, girl. [...] She, I think, I mean, look she’s not the greatest singer, okay? Neither am I. But she would be the one that’s braver to do it. [...] I think she would be like, ‘Screw it. I’m just going to go and have fun.’”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard agreed that she would “do it just to have fun.” On being asked again, she chose Dancing with the Stars as her first choice. Tori, with a surprised tone of voice, wondered whether the show’s creators never approached Gypsy. Blanchard replied:
“No. I mean, I never put myself out there in that way.”
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star explained that the projects she chose were focusing on sharing her story. Furthermore, Gypsy Rose Blanchard asserted that she “never kind of dove into reality TV other than that.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard once briefly appeared The Kardashians
Gypsy has gained plenty of media attention due to her role in the murder of her biological mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard. She pleaded guilty in 2016 to second-degree murder and received a 10-year prison sentence. While she was released on parole in December 2023, her case has been subject to multiple news stories and different documentaries.
Blanchard’s experiences following her prison release have also been captured by the Lifetime reality series, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. Apart from that, Gypsy also appeared on The Kardashians during its fifth season. In the episode titled 'This is My Most Important Job,' Kim visited Louisiana to meet Blanchard.
Following their on-camera conversation around prison reform work, Gypsy posted a selfie with Kim Kardashian on Instagram, which the latter liked as well. She thanked the TV personality in the caption that read:
“Still in awe over my conversation with @kimkardashian about post-prison re-entry and our hope for the future of prison reform. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to voice my concerns and those of so many others on a platform like @kardashianshulu.”
She added:
“It’s my goal to become more involved in the fight for prison reform and I can’t wait to see what comes next. It’s time to push for meaningful change in our justice system, and I’m so proud to become a part of the movement.”
On Friday, June 27, 2025, Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced the end of her parole in another Instagram post. In her statement, Blanchard mentioned taking accountability previously and asserted that she is taking back her life.
Gypsy wrote about accepting the sentence and the weight of her choices by serving time in prison. Blanchard also stated that she doesn't “owe the past anything more.” In her video message, she further talked about her “freedom” and maintained that she is “moving forward with clarity, peace, and self-forgiveness.”
