Does Rob Kardashian appear on "The Kardashians"? Rare Glimpse of Kris Jenner's son goes viral alongside Kim and La La Anthony

Rob Kardashian, who usually maintains a low profile, was recently featured in one of Kim’s recent Instagram posts.

The media personality and entrepreneur wished her “bestest best friend” Alani Nicole "La La" Anthony “Happy Birthday” on June 25. Kim shared two selfies in her Instagram post, which featured La La and Robert. The Skims co-founder captioned the photos,

“Happy Birthday to my ace @lala Truly the bestest best friend a girl could ask for! I love you so much!!!! Today’s your day!”

With Rob Kardashian making a rare social media appearance, the Instagram post went viral after garnering more than 567K likes as of this writing. While it is unclear whether the selfies were clicked recently, many in the comments were excited to catch a glimpse of Robert.

For the unversed, Rob made several appearances on the E! network’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) throughout its 20-season run. However, following the conclusion of the reality TV show, Kris Jenner and her daughters were next seen on The Kardashians, a spin-off that streams on Hulu.

Unlike KUWTK, Rob Kardashian has made only voice-only appearances on his family’s current reality series. Besides appearing via phone calls, Robert has occasionally been spotted in the images. The actor/TV personality has also avoided posting his pictures on social media, with his recent Instagram post from November 2024 featuring his mother, Kris Jenner.

Over KUWTK’s 20 seasons between 2007 and 2021, viewers got to witness 292 episodes, including the specials, per IMDb. For the first eight seasons, Rob Kardashian was seen regularly but only made guest appearances in the forthcoming seasons. However, KUWTK Season 20 Episode 4 was the last time Robert appeared on camera in his family’s reality TV series.

According to IMDb, he was missing from the first two seasons of The Kardashians and made voice-only appearances across multiple episodes during the next four seasons. In a July 2023 episode, “I Have Some Very Important News,” Khloé called Robert to plan his daughter’s birthday celebrations.

Rob Kardashian didn’t make another phone call appearance until Season 4 when Kris Jenner dialed her son’s number. In Season 5 Episode 4, Khloé called Robert again and had a rather awkward exchange while asking him to be a sperm donor for her friend, Malika Haqq. Rob Kardashian’s most recent phone cameo was in Season 6 Episode 9 when Khloé called him to talk about their mother. The recent season concluded in April, but the series has already been renewed for Season 7, which might bring another voice-only appearance of Robert.
