"I’m not looking for no man" — Jennifer Lopez reacts to Tiffany Haddish's comment about her at the American Music Awards 2025

Jennifer Lopez seems to have a response to Tiffany Haddish’s comment about her from the American Music Awards 2025. For context, during her performance at the award ceremony on May 26, 2025, Lopez was seen sharing a kiss with a male and female dancer during the act.

Speaking to Access Hollywood’s Lauren Herbert after the event, Jennifer Lopez commented on her performance, saying she rehearsed it enough. When asked how she felt about it, she said she was glad that it was over.

Herbet referred to Tiffany Haddish’s comment from the event, to which Lopez commented:

"She said that to me. I said, ‘Girl, I am not looking for no man. I am happy right now. I am not trying to ruin it okay."

At the American Music Awards 2025, Tiffany Haddish went on stage to present the award for the favorite R&B singer, and she talked about how excited she was to have Jennifer Lopez hosting the AMAs.

She joked that it should be called the JMAs instead, and pointed out that Lopez had already danced to 23 hit songs in just six minutes during the opening performance. Haddish added:

“And she got all her kisses in. Save a dancer for me, JLo damn. You ain't the only one out here single.”

Meanwhile, Herbet said one of the fun moments from the ceremony was when she kissed the two dancers, while asking if there would be a “hot JLo summer.” The actress replied:

“I won't tell you what we're calling it. Maybe one day on social media when I lose the run of myself.”

Jennifer Lopez on getting inspired by Janet Jackson and Madonna

Jennifer Lopez said she had around eight to nine looks for the show. When asked about the favorite moment from the night, she said it was when her performance was over. The On The Floor singer also talked about Janet Jackson, saying:

"Janet really was one of my biggest inspirations growing up. I know people say that about people all the time, but she actually was her and Madonna for whatever reason, they just they filled my soul with their music and their performances."

Lopez went on:

"And I try to emulate them in many many different ways and be my own artist but also their inspiration was such a big influence on me."

Jennifer Lopez shared how meaningful it was for her to introduce Janet Jackson, saying Janet held a special place in her heart and had a big impact on her. She also said:

"I'm always challenging myself and kind of pushing myself and so there's always this kind of like uh oh what might happen but that's the exciting part I think."

When asked about her return to Las Vegas for another residency, she explained that the timing felt right. She didn’t plan it out strictly but preferred to let things happen naturally in her career.
