"I think it's going to happen in real life" - Brianna LaPaglia talks about her dating life, claims dating app Raya 'won't let' her on

Internet personality Brianna LaPaglia, also known as Brianna Chickenfry, recently attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party. At the event, which took place on May 15 in New York City, the social media star spoke to People Magazine exclusively. During her conversation with the publication, she candidly shared her views on relationships and dating.

LaPaglia, who is at present single, split with singer-songwriter Zach Bryan in October last year. She has been open about the breakup while speaking to media, including the emotional scar that the split caused in her life.

However, while speaking to People Magazine at the launch party, she did not seem to be pessimistic about finding love again. She told the publication,

“I think it's going to happen in real life”

LaPaglia’s comment came in response to the topic of dating apps, which has become a popular medium to find a partner in today’s day and age.

Although LaPaglia is a celebrity in her own right, she shared that she found it odd that the exclusive dating app, Raya, would not allow her to become a member. Raya is a social and dating app known for its selective membership features.

LaPaglia also discussed how difficult it is for a known personality to use other dating apps where conversations with prospective dates usually veer towards celebrity gossip, including towards the topic of LaPaglia’s experience with her celebrity friends.

While the social media star is hopeful about finding love outside the world of digital media, she was also quick to share with People Magazine that she is in no hurry to begin a romance.

Brianna LaPaglia, while sharing that she has consistently been in a relationship since the age of 16, told People Magazine,

“I'm just trying to figure out who the hell I am — and it's fun…I was in a relationship since I was 16 until 25. Being single for the first time ever is frigging awesome”

LaPaglia’s launch party conversation did briefly touch upon her past relationships. While sharing her present feelings, though, LaPaglia said,

“I feel like I'm in that time zone where it's like discover who you are, try new things and also leave a lot of negative things in the past.”

Brianna LaPaglia’s relationship with Zach Bryan, explored

Brianna LaPaglia started dating country music star Zach Bryan in 2023. The two first met each other at the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 11, 2023, as per The Knot.

However, at the time, the two merely took a photograph with each other, as they were already in separate relationships.

The duo came across each other yet again during a concert where Bryan was performing, according to the report by The Knot. As per the report, LaPaglia was the host of the concert. At the time, Bryan had already split up with his previous girlfriend.

Similarly, LaPaglia’s previous relationship had also ended.

Within the next month of their second meeting, Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia had confirmed that they were a couple, as per The Knot.

In the months to come, the couple were open about their relationship and the love that they had for each other.

However, after a few months of celebrating their first anniversary, Bryan took to social media to confirm that the couple had broken off their relationship. In the social media post, Bryan mentioned “severe” personal challenges as having led to the break-up. Bryan’s social media post read,

“Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I'll always thank her…I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna's privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too.”

A few months before the breakup, Zach Bryan had released his fifth studio album. In a social media post, he shared the toll it took to complete the album. According to a report by People Magazine, Bryan shared on social media,

“This record tested the hell out of me and I failed most days it did but we finally made it…I’m glad this chapter happened but I’m more glad that it’s coming to an end.”

While neither Bryan nor LaPaglia spoke about the exact reasons for their break-up, LaPaglia did post a video a few days after Bryan announced their split on social media. She posted a tearful video on her YouTube channel, Plan Bri Uncut. In the video, LaPaglia expressed her discontentment with being blindsided by Bryan’s decision to publicly share the news about the breakup. LaPaglia said,

“I'm completely blindsided by that. I'm at the point where it's like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally through stuff that you shouldn't because you love them, and you see the good in them? Like, how can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then, like, be discarded in a few days?”

LaPaglia further expressed that all she wanted was some solace now.

“I wanted to heal privately, and I did not even know that he was going to post that. We broke up yesterday, so I was not ready to do anything publicly. I did not want it to be public, so I'm just feeling blindsided.”

Bryan ended up receiving a lot of backlash for his actions on social media after Brianna LaPaglia released her video.
