Alex Cooper, who is the host of the popular Call Me Daddy podcast, is now reported to be joining the new season of The Bachelor as a host, though the speculations have not yet been confirmed. According to US Weekly, the rumors began after the podcaster shared a video of her cutting a cake with blue icing that had the words "Season 30" written on it.

This prompted fans to think that she is joining as the possible new host of the next season of the long-running reality TV show. The Bachelor, which premiered in March 2002, was renewed for its thirtieth season earlier this year.

According to Deadline, the reality TV show, which has inspired numerous spin-offs like The Bachelorette, was renewed for a new season back in June, with Scott Teti joining as the new showrunner. This news came a few months after it was announced in February that The Bachelorette had been paused for its usual summer premiere in July. As of now there is no information supporting that the podcaster will be joining the popular franchise.

More about the alleged rumors about Alex Cooper joining as the host of The Bachelor, as the podcaster teases new announcement

Alex Cooper took to her Instagram on September 30, to post this cryptic video where she is seen slicing into a cake with the writing in blue icing. To everyone's suprise, as she cuts into the cake, which has the words "Season 30" written on it, the inside of the cake is revealed to have a pink filling.

Cooper, who can be seen wearing a grey jumpsuit, can be heard saying at the end of the video:

"Wait, why is it pink?"

This revelation at the end sent fans into a frenzy, with everyone attempting to guess what the subtle message of the video could mean. Some fans speculated that the video was in fact a pregnancy announcement, but those swirling rumors were swiftly shut down by Alex Cooper, who wrote in the comment section, saying, "Guys, I’m not pregnant."

Since in the caption of the video, Alex Cooper had written the words "Change of plans,” many fans started speculating that she is not going to be the host of The Bachelor, but the new host of The Bachelorette, which had been put on hold earlier this year.

The pink icing inside the cake, the caption, the words, and the use of the rose emoji, which can be considered as part of the Bachelor show franchise, made the viewers believe that this new announcement is allegedly for a new season of The Bachelorette. If the rumors are true, she will be replacing Jesse Palmer, who has been hosting both shows since 2021, as the new host.

At the moment, no official statement has been made by either Alex Cooper or the show. But a joint video has been released, where they have teased the announcement of the next bachelorette.
