Megan Byron, wife of former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, was reported to have released a statement regarding the recent controversial incident concerning her husband at a Coldplay concert, but the statement has been proven to be fake.
At a Coldplay concert last week, Andy Byron was caught live on kiss cam sharing an intimate embrace with co-worker Kristin Cabot. Soon after this, the alleged couple were identified, and the video of two went viral with millions of people commenting on it and sharing it.
According to BBC, Andy Byron resigned from his position as the CEO of Astronomer, a company he co-founded in 2015.
According to Newsweek, mere hours after the incident, Megan Byron allegedly removed her last name from her Facebook page, after which she scrubbed all her social media accounts.

Megan Kerrigan Byron, who has been married to Andy Byron and share two children with him, had allegedly released a statement concerning the incident at the Coldplay concert on Sunday. In the viral statement, Megan Byron said:
"Hi everyone.I honestly don’t know how to begin this, because the past few days have been incredibly heavy for me. Honestly when this happened, I truly felt alone, like no one would understand or stand by me. But then you showed up. Your messages, your comments, your quiet support, has touched me in ways I can’t even explain. The love you’ve shown is something I never expected, I want to assure you all that am fine and well and thanks for your kind of love and I want you to know I carry that with me every single day."
In the now proven fake statement, Megan, who works as an educator, thanked her supporters but added that she would not specifically address the situation until the "time is right." She wrote:
"I’m reading through as many comments as I can even if I can’t respond to everyone, I see you. I feel you. And I’m leading with the comfort your words have brought me. Right now, I’m choosing to stay calm. I’m not a social media person I never have been. And I won’t be speaking on the situation publicly just yet, not until the time is right and I’m told it’s okay to do so. I hope you can understand that. There are people trying to take advantage of what I’m going through spreading lies, writing things that are cruel and unfair.
The fake statement claims that she added:
"I’m doing my best to protect my space and stay positive… but it’s not easy and It hurts. And please be careful. I will never DM or message anyone asking for anything not money, not help, nothing or donations, please If someone claims to be me and ask such, just know that they’re not and ignore them. I just want to thank you again deeply, sincerely for standing beside me when it feels like the ground beneath me is shaking, You’ve reminded me I’m not as alone as I thought, With all my heart, Megan."
This is not the only statement that has been released by this fake account. Previously, the account released a statement saying Megan was changing her name. Megan Byron allegedly wrote:
"Hello, My name is Megan Kerrigan — no longer Megan Byron. Today, I officially dropped his last name. And while it may seem like just a formality to some, to me… it was closure. I didn’t make this decision out of bitterness. I made it out of peace. I gave my heart, my loyalty, and my name to a man who couldn’t even respect me in private — let alone in public. The betrayal was painful. But the public humiliation? That cut deeper than anything. Watching the man I loved kiss another woman not behind closed doors, but at a concert, in front of thousands while the world recorded it like entertainment…"
Such fake accounts mimicking Megan Byron are popping up all over the internet, each releasing their own fake statements. Last week, hours after the incident that took place at the Gillette Stadium at Massachusetts, Andy Byron was also rumored to have released a statement apologizing about the incident, but in it he expressed concern about the troubling invasion of privacy. Later, the statement was proven to be fake.
