Scooter Braun, who previously managed Justin Bieber, recently congratulated Hailey Bieber on the success of her beauty brand, Rhode. On May 28, Braun shared a story on social media, posting “Bravo” to acknowledge the brand’s founders.
Scooter Braun is a shareholder in Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Beauty. According to his website, Braun’s company, Ithaka Management, has invested in Rhode. Ithaka Management was founded by the businessman in 2024, as stated on his LinkedIn page.
Rhode has been sold to e.l.f Beauty for an impressive $1 billion. Hailey Bieber, the brand’s founder, announced the news on Instagram and wrote,
“When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company, and the most important thing to me is to keep bringing rhode to more spaces, places, and faces globally. So today I am so incredibly excited and proud to announce that we are partnering with e.l.f. Beauty as we step into this next chapter in the world of rhode.”
Bieber also revealed that she would be the new Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation of Rhode, in addition to serving as a strategic advisor to e.l.f. Beauty. While sharing that the impetus to grow her beauty brand drove Rhode’s sale, Bieber provided a glimpse into her new roles at e.l.f. Beauty and wrote,
“I found a like-minded disruptor with a vision to be a different kind of company that believes in big ideas and innovation in the same way that I do and will help us continue to grow the brand”
About Scooter Braun’s relationship with Hailey Bieber’s husband, Justin Bieber
While Scooter Braun maintains his involvement with the Bieber couple’s financial affairs through his investment in Hailey’s brand, Rhode, he had previously ended his management of Justin Bieber.
Braun, recognized for discovering Justin Bieber in his early teens, facilitated his signing with two labels: Island Def Jam Music Group and his own, Raymond Braun Media Group, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Over the years, Braun and Bieber developed a successful partnership, with Braun overseeing Bieber’s growing career.

Their relationship suffered a blow when Bieber, who was on his ‘Justice’ world tour in 2022, revealed that his earlier Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome diagnosis was affecting his health, leading him to cancel the North American leg of his tour, according to Today. The news outlet noted that Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome involves partial paralysis of facial nerves.
TMZ’s investigation showed that after the tour’s cancellation, Bieber owed $24 million to concert promoters AEG. Reports from TMZ’s sources claim Braun’s company, Hybe, bailed Bieber out, loaning him the amount to repay over ten years. However, conflicts over payments led to a soured relationship between Braun and Bieber.
TMZ’s sources allege that Bieber’s team discovered the artist had overpaid $26 million in commissions to Braun, while Hybe, in response, conducted multiple audits and revealed that Bieber owed the company significantly less than previously claimed.
Given the strained ties between Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun, it is uncertain whether Braun’s encouraging remarks about Hailey Bieber can repair his relationship with the Bieber family.
