“It’s just kind of embarrassing” - Kristin Davis explains why she licked Chris Noth’s face as she again denies dating her co-star

Kristin Davis once again denies dating her Sex and the City co-star, Chris Noth. While confirming that she had never dated Noth, Davis also talked about the photo of her licking Noth on his face at an MTV Award Event in the early 2000s, which she believes is why people think they used to date, US Weekly reported.

Kristin Davis is a 60-year-old actress and podcaster, known for her role in the popular series Sex and the City. Davis is also the host of the podcast, Are You A Charlotte? Chris Noth is a 70-year-old actor who played the character of Big in Sex and the City.

According to US Weekly, on Thursday, June 19, during the nineteenth episode of her podcast, Are You A Charlotte?, the actress shared that she did not date Chris Noth and further said that she understands why people think so. She also addresses the picture where she licks Noth in the face during an MTV Movie Awards event in the early 2000s, which reportedly fueled the dating rumors.

“No, we did not [date]. But there’s this picture that I understand… I totally understand why, why, why people would think that. I’m licking his face and, you know, this is the main thing I want to say. If I was dating someone, I would not lick their face on the red carpet, right?”

Kristin Davis further added that,

“But it’s one of those things that you’re like, I had an embarrassing moment, and now it lives on and it’s really mortifying. And I can’t explain it fully, except to say there’s a lot of young energy. So I understand why people think that [Noth and I dated]. No, I never did, and it’s just kind of embarrassing.”

In the podcast, she further shared that she was dating someone else at the time, who was also present at the MTV event.

In her podcast, Kristin Davis sometimes shares interesting details and BTS from the show Sex and the City, where Davis played the role of Charlotte. According to Entertainment Weekly, in a previous episode of her podcast, Davis talked about an SATC plotline that she was not a fan of.

According to the publication, Davis revealed that she hated the plotline where her character, Charlotte, and Charlotte's second husband, Harry, played by Evan Handler, ended up getting food poisoning after their Valentine's Day date, after Harry ordered a large amount of French cheeses to impress Charlotte.

"I just hated that storyline so much. I went to Elisa Zuritsky and Julia Rottenberg [the writers of the episode] and said, "Please, do we have to do this? Why?"

According to an Entertainment Weekly article dated June 10, in another episode of her podcast, Davis talked about how the show's creators used criticisms of the show as dialogue in the show.
