On June 26, 2025, an exclusive report by Page Six mentioned that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have tied the knot in America. According to the sources’ statements, the couple has also signed a prenuptial agreement worth millions of dollars.

For the unversed, a prenup agreement is signed for a seamless division of assets in case a couple files for divorce. However, the report only mentions that their legal marriage is completed, while the one scheduled in Venice is not yet registered. Speaking to The Times, an official said:

“I can totally rule out that they will have a civil ceremony in Venice under Italian law.”

Attorneys speculate that the reason Bezos and Lauren Sanchez got married in the US is that marriages conducted in some other place besides the US sometimes create legal issues. Hence, as per the insiders’ reports, the couple’s legal marriage is completed.

Guests spotted at the venue are Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom, Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey, and others. Jeff Bezos already reached Venice on June 25, 2025. Private jets and yachts have been arranged for guests to reach the wedding venue.

Around 30 drivers hired to transport guests on water taxis between parties were given strips of tinted adhesive film. These were meant to cover the windows of the boats and prevent people from seeing inside.

The Amazon founder had paid a heavy amount for security overtime. However, this will be a no-gift wedding as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have made donations to a few places on behalf of the guests. The wedding expense is estimated to be $50 million.

What did Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding organiser say about the wedding plans?

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding organiser, Lanza & Baucina, explained that from the beginning, both their clients' instructions and their values focused on avoiding disruption to the city, showing respect to its residents and institutions, and hiring mostly local workers.

They said claims about "taking over" the city were completely untrue and didn’t reflect what happened. They also clarified that only a reasonable number of water taxis were booked based on the number of guests, not an excessive amount as rumored.

Speaking about the prenup, attorney Christopher Melcher told Fox News that Jeff Bezos finalized his first divorce with MacKenzie Scott quickly, though it wasn’t without complications, since billions earned during the marriage had to be divided due to the absence of a prenup.

Melcher, who is not involved in Bezos’ affairs, noted that some people, after going through a difficult divorce, may push for strict or unfair prenups in a new relationship, which can damage the partnership.

In Jeff Bezos’ case, Melcher believed his wealth gave him the freedom to be more generous in his marriage to Lauren Sanchez, allowing him to support his children, donate to charity, and still build a shared life with his new partner.

Lauren Sanchez was previously married to Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shared two children. As per reports, the two signed a prenup agreement, and following their separation, the division was executed as per the agreement.
