Kate Upton welcomes baby no.2 with husband Justin Verlander

The Layover star, Kate Upton, and her husband, Justin Verlander, have welcomed their second baby, a boy, Bellamy Brooks Verlander. As reported by People, the baby was born on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The couple got married in November 2017, and they also have a daughter, Genevieve. They have been together since 2014. Upton was seen hosting the fashion reality television show Dress My Tour on Hulu in 2024.

Justin is a baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB), and the family was spotted at the 2022 MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet wearing yellow outfits.

In an interview with US Weekly in 2019, Justin spoke about Kate's ability to embrace motherhood. He had said:

“She’s been the most amazing woman and mom. I knew that she would set a great example for our daughter, no matter what. It’s the person that she is, it’s the person who I married. I’ve always appreciated her for her strength.''

He continued:

“But just seeing her interact, all the nurturing and everything that goes on with being a mother, it’s been tremendous to watch. I know it’s not easy for her either, but it’s quite a connection that they have, and it’s really special for me to be able to witness that and be a part of it.”

In July 2024, Kate was exclusively interviewed by People, and she shared about the pressure she faces to expand her family. She said:

“It starts when you’re dating. ‘When’s the ring coming? When are you guys getting engaged? And then you get engaged. ‘When’s the wedding? When’s the first child?.''

She then said that she wondered why she couldn't just be in the moment. In the same interview, she also spoke about how her daughter and her husband are both 'rule followers.'

Kate was last seen in the 2024 comedy film, Sweet Dreams.
