There is good news for fans of the film, as it has finally gotten its official title, and it’s called Focker-in-Law. People who have seen the earlier films will realize that this is an obvious ode. Let us find out more details about this sequel.

Meet The Parents 4 is officially called Focker-in-Law

Universal Pictures has officially announced the title of Meet The Parents 4: Focker-in-Law. This news was announced by Universal Pictures on Monday. John Hamburg is the writer and director of the film. He was the co-writer of all three films in the franchise, including Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers.

Besides the original cast members reprising their roles, the upcoming film will also feature some new additions like Ariana Grande, Beanie Feldstein, and Skyler Gisondo. Meet The Parents 4 will be released theatrically on November 25, 2026, by Universal Pictures.

The franchise began in 1992 with the release of the independent comedy film Meet the Parents. While it was largely ignored, it paved the way for a namesake remake that was released on October 6, 2000. This Jay Roach-directed film chronicled a male nurse who visits the house of his girlfriend’s parents. The film earned $330.4 million at the box office and was followed by a sequel titled Meet the Fockers, which came out in 2004. A third installment titled Little Fockers was released in 2010.

In June this year, Stiller and De Niro attended a screening of Meet the Parents on its 25th anniversary. Stiller spoke about the film:

“I think what spurred the idea was that at this point in time, I’m the age that Bob [De Niro] was when we did the first movie and there was this sort of mirror to the first film in terms of the fact that my kids are grown. And, yeah, that my kid, one of my kids, is thinking about introducing his person to the family.”

At that event, De Niro also called the script of Meet the Parents 4 “really good.”
