Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, officiated his friends, Matt Williams and Veronica Capaldi’s wedding. However, what seemed different was that he wore his character’s Scoops Ahoy costume. As seen in the photos circulating on social media platforms like X, Keery grinned at the couple while the groom seemed to read his vows.

Social media users reacted to the photo, with one X user writing:

Another online user reshared the viral photo on X, commented:

One X user said that they wanted a similar act for their wedding, as they mentioned:

In May 2025, Keery sat down on the Q with Tom Power show. When asked how long he has been out on tour, the singer/actor said he has been out since the beginning of 2025 and had played in some of the major cities in Australia. He said:

“The shows are feeling good and yeah it's nice. We're in a little bit of a groove now. I've never toured long enough to really get into any sort of groove. It's always been a couple of off shows here or there. And when you're, you know, playing consistently, it's really fun to feel like you're really improving and it's really fun to just be playing music all the time.”

He went on to say:

“Also, I find myself after shows really kind of inspired and just fiddling around on guitar and it's just great and around so many, you know, great writers, too, and friends. So, it's been a great time.”

When asked how it felt like being on stage, Keery said it was different, although it could be difficult to make a distinction between him as a singer and an actor. According to him, he had to be the ring leader of the experience in which he had to lean more on himself.

Joe Keery’s song, End of Beginning, was a major hit on TikTok after its release in 2022. He said he would get updates about the song doing well from his friend Adam. However, at the time, he was more focused on his other commitments. Then, he found out that the song was being used for all the videos. He kept wondering why it became a hit, but then realized it had the perfect circumstances to do well.
