Rapper Ray Norwood Jr., aka Ray J, shared his thoughts about Sean Diddy Combs during a recent livestream. As seen in the video circulated by various media outlets, he said that he was terrified by the trial. According to Hollywood Unlocked, he mentioned:

“The Diddy sh*t, it’s just, it haunts me because it’s like, you know what I mean? Like now we know what this ni**a do and now we in his private business. It doesn’t stop ni**as from waking up in the morning and being on time for work and getting sh*t done.”

He said Diddy didn’t teach people about freak-off parties, but other aspects of working in business and representing the culture. However, Raj said that Combs did something bad, which wasn’t right. Ray J added:

“At the end of the day, y'all, it's crazy. Ni**a is asking people like what they doing in their private time, bro, when like I was telling the homies, when you close the door, ain't no telling what ni**as is doing. I guarantee you this ni**a’s going home and closing the door, turning on their TV, bending over and letting their dog lick their a** all night.”

The rapper said a person’s private affairs are nobody's business as he feels one could be shocked by what others do inside closed doors. However, he felt a person’s private life must be kept separate from their work. Ray J also said that asking people about their s*xual orientation had nothing to do with them. He said he would prefer people to ask him about his academic qualifications.

When Ray J spoke in support of Diddy during the latter’s trial

Ray J had shown support to Combs when the latter’s trial was underway. Speaking to Piers Morgan in May 2025, he said he believed it would move quickly than many expected. He felt people were starting to understand the situation, and although he didn’t like it, he wanted to openly share his thoughts. The rapper added:

“I honestly think that Diddy will get out, and I think … there’s nothing here,” he claimed. “I think they made their point. Whatever they were trying to make, your point is made. Now let Diddy out. Free Diddy!”

He explained that people never used that term when talking about Combs’ parties. He said those parties were only for top celebrities, and without the right invite, it was impossible to get in. Ray J added that he never heard about the so-called secret door or got an invitation, and since he enjoyed parties, he felt he would have been invited if it were real. He went on:

“I feel for him, you know what I mean? And I’m actually worried about him in this state now, because it’s a dangerous world, and we’re just seeing a lot of things unfold and power being played, and it’s a circus act.”

Ray J also said he felt there were already too many stories coming out. He thought the details were strange and should have stayed private, and he felt the situation kept getting worse and more uncomfortable.
