An employee from Chipotle has become viral for his uncanny resemblance to rapper Tory Lanez. As seen in a video posted by the x account ‘@FearedBuck,’ the employee was seen interacting with a customer at Chipotle.

The video had the following written in a text box:

“Not Tory Lanez out of jail working at Chipotle.”

Social media users posted their reactions to the video, and one X user jokingly commented:

“Someone don’t tell megan tho.”

Another netizen wrote:

A social media user inquired if Lanez fled from prison, asking:

“TORY ESCAPED PRISON?!?!?”

According to an online commentator, the employee could go on a tour on the rapper’s behalf, as they mentioned:

“Bro needs to go on tour for Tory.”

A user predicted that the person could be related to the rapper. They opined:

Tory Lanez is currently serving prison time for the 2020 shooting incident during which rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion was left injured. This happened in Los Angeles after a party at Kylie Jenner’s residence.

According to Rolling Stone, Lanez allegedly fired several times, aiming at Stallion’s feet, during which Stallion was badly injured and had to undergo an emergency operation.

What is the latest update in Tory Lanez’s case?

As per the latest updates from his case, Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, made an appeal to the court to undo the conviction and also alter the sentence. However, his plea was rejected by the court.

As per his plea, the rapper claimed there were errors during his trial, and the 10-year sentence that he was granted seemed too harsh to him. He also said that the court made mistakes when prosecutors went on to produce a recorded interview in which a friend of Megan, Kelsey, claimed that Tory Lanez was the one to shoot the Mamushi singer.

According to a ruling by the judges:

“Neither Peterson nor his counsel ever told the court that Peterson wished to testify, but was deterred by the prospect of impeachment by the prosecution.”

In their ruling, they also wrote:

“We find no prejudicial error and, accordingly, affirm Peterson’s conviction. As we find no ineffective assistance of counsel or prejudicial trial court error, we also find no cumulative error.”

Tory Lanez had previously texted Megan Thee Stallion, writing that he thought she would probably never speak to him again. He told her he was truly sorry and that he had only acted that way because he was quite drunk. He said what happened should never have occurred and that he couldn’t undo it, and he felt awful about it.
