According to a US Weekly exclusive, stuntwoman Devyn Labella, who sued the actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner for an alleged "unscheduled r*pe scene" during the filming of Horizon 2, revealed in court that she has been facing online harassment and shared the fear that the backlash could get worse.

According to the publication, in May, Devyn Labella, a stuntwoman who was cast as Ella Hunt's stunt double in the movie Horizon 2, filed a lawsuit against Kevin Costner and Territory Pictures after she had to allegedly film an unscripted r*pe scene without any proper notice on the set of Horizon 2.
On June 23, LaBella "amended her lawsuit" and submitted further evidence to the court regarding the alleged unscripted scene, including her text messages with the film's intimacy coordinator from the day after the alleged incident.
According to recent updates by US Weekly, on June 26, Devyn LaBella stated in court that she unintentionally filed documents with her personal information in the case and requested that it be redacted to prevent further harm. Furthermore, her attorney also stated that she reportedly faced online harassment and that her address being public might lead to harassment at home.

LaBella's attorney shared that,
"This case involves a Hollywood production company and a well-known actor and director, which has already garnered significant public attention and backlash. Following the filing of this lawsuit, [LaBella] has experienced an onslaught of online harassment."
Furthermore,
“Having her private, personal identifying information publicly available … will unnecessarily contribute even further to the harassment she is facing...Additionally, her address being public puts her at risk of being harassed at her home.”
Kevin Costner's lawyer reacts to the lawsuit filed by Devyn LaBella.
According to a Fox News article published on June 25, Kevin Costner's lawyer, Marty Singer, claims that many witnesses who were at the set the day the alleged incident happened contradict LaBelle's claims.
According to the news outlet, Costner's lawyer shared that,
"Ms. LaBella was doing a rehearsal on an Insert Shot for a scripted scene. There was no intimacy or anything sexual in the shot...There was tugging on a dress while she was fully clothed in a dress with long bloomers lying down next to a male actor...Numerous witnesses have contradicted Ms. LaBella’s meritless claims."

Kevin Costner is a 70-year-old American filmmaker and actor who has won multiple accolades, including Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. He has appeared in titles like Horizon: An American Saga, Hidden Figures, Man of Steel, and more. Recently, he was a part of the popular series Yellowstone.
