Comedian Tasha K responded to Nicki Minaj’s recent X post in which she announced that she won’t release another album. Tasha shared a lengthy post on the social media platform. She shared that a few years ago, Nicki Minaj once told her she wanted to quit music after a tough moment during a show.
Tasha said she encouraged Nicki not to give up because her fans loved her songs and didn’t care about her personal life. Her post went on:
“So I say this to say — she’s just having a moment. As we all do! But that doesn’t mean give up! The music will be out this spring. That’s it, that’s all! She’s not a personality — she’s an artist. A little crazy like the rest of the greats — Michael Jackson, Prince, you name it!”
Social media users appreciated Tasha's support, with one X user commenting:
"Thank you for standing up for her. She needs all the support she can get."
Sharing similar sentiments, another platform user commented:
"Thanks for being a kind friend to our queen."
Another online commentator appreciated Tasha K's support for Nicki Minaj, writing:
"Oh Tashak you will always be famous, I don't always agree with you but I live! , you will be in the books of revolutionaries with Onika and MJ the struggle continues but God is greater."
Others speculated what Minaj's next album would be like. One X user mentioned:
"She’s gonna break records I can feel it, this next [album] is gonna be phenomenal."
On October 15, she shared a post on the platform, tagging Roc Nation founder Jay-Z. She wrote:
“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now @sc Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”
However, during a recent X Space, Nicki Minaj told her fans that her album would be released. Mentioning her recent X posts, she asked her fans not to be stressed about them.
Nicki Minaj’s recent X post and Thomas Weidenmuller’s monetary compensation
On October 15, Nicki Minaj shared a cryptic post, writing that some people didn’t want her to release new songs because her success made them feel like they were losing. She explained that they knew her next album would do well, and they were trying to block her progress and money.
She felt they acted selfishly, as if everything she worked for belonged to them. Nicki added that they were angry because they could no longer take her energy, happiness, or success.
In other news, Minaj and her spouse, Kenneth Petty, ’s house in LA was at risk of being sold off on account of unpaid debt, as reported by Page Six. This is related to the 2019 incident in which Thomas Weidenmuller, a security guard, was allegedly assaulted by Petty during Nicki Minaj’s show in Germany. He filed a lawsuit after which he was supposed to get $503,000, as per court orders, though it hasn’t been fulfilled yet.
According to an exclusive report by Us Weekly, in the court documents, he said:
“The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”
Weidenmuller’s lawyer said it was unfortunate that they had to take such a big step by forcing the sale of Nicki Minaj’s home, but it happened because she refused to pay what she owed. The lawyer mentioned that Nicki was a world-famous rapper with a fortune worth millions and could easily pay the full amount.
However, she still chose not to, even after being asked several times in writing and through official notices sent to people who might owe her money.
