Reality TV personality Chase Chrisley, the eldest son of Todd and Julie Chrisley, recently opened up about his parents’ ordeal during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight on May 28. The interview took place shortly after Chrisley’s parents were released from prison after they attained a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

During the conversation, Chrisley candidly shared details about his parents’ experiences while they were imprisoned. He stated,

“The only contact that they had was through emails, which the BOP would delay for weeks on end. Maybe my dad would send her an email one day and she wouldn’t get it for two or three weeks. So it was impossible to have a conversation, they didn’t have any, they weren’t allowed to talk on the phone, nothing.”

As per Today, Chase Chrisley’s father, Todd Chrisley was serving his sentence at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while his mother, Julie Chrisley was imprisoned at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky.

People magazine noted that Todd and his wife Julie were sentenced in November 2022, after being convicted a few months earlier in June. According to Today, Todd was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment while Julie’s sentence was for 7 years.

During the conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Chase Chrisley also narrated the emotional moment when his parents met for the first time after they were released from prison. He shared,

“They both just burst in tears and my dad wrapped his arms around my mom and I don’t think he’s let go and I don’t think he will ever let go.”

Will Chase Chrisley’s parents be part of his upcoming docu-series?

Chrisley was asked during the interview whether footage from the family reunion would be a part of the new docu-series which will document the Chrisley family's experience. Chase Chrisley replied,

“You know how television works like, my parents were inside when we started filming and negotiating. So there is no deal in place for my parents, right, as of right now.”

Chrisley and his sister, Savannah Chrisley had signed a deal for an untitled docu-series for the cable television network, Lifetime, as per Deadline. According to Deadline, the series, which is slated to air on TV later this year, will document the life experiences of Chase Chrisley and his sister after their parents were incarcerated.

According to Deadline, the siblings also serve as executive producers for the show.

A report by People Magazine noted that the docu-series will also feature Chase and Savannah’s younger siblings Grayson and Chloe Chrisley.

Back in February, Savannah had spoken about the struggles she faced after taking custody of her younger siblings in the wake of their parents’ incarceration. In an exclusive conversation with People Magazine, she said,

“I wasn't expecting to get two kids…I’m no better than anyone else out here, to have to struggle. And I am not lazy. I know that I have two kids to provide for, and I know I have two parents that I need to get home. So, I'll work my ass off till the wee hours of the morning if I have to. It's just who I am.”

Todd Chrisley’s mother, Nanny Faye Chrisley will also be part of the docu-series.
