Singer and songwriter Tori Kelly recently shared an Instagram post where she showed how she revealed her pregnancy to her husband, André Murillo.
In the video, Kelly can be seen showing a pregnancy testing device to her viewers. She then placed it upside down on the table, in front of the camera.
In the video, André can be seen entering the house as the dogs jump around him. He came towards the camera, placed a bag on the table, and then noticed the testing device. Kelly wrote in the caption of the video that this was the first time she saw him speechless.
He stood there dumbfounded for a moment and then hugged Tori Kelly. The couple shared a kiss and embraced each other. The two then showed their dogs to the viewers. The video was captioned:
“Still can’t believe this is really happening my heart is explodingggggggg.”
The singer also released a music video in July 2025, announcing her pregnancy. She and André Murillo have been in a relationship since 2016 and had their engagement in 2017. The couple got hitched a year later.
In an exclusive statement to People Magazine, Tori Kelly said:
“This year has already been full of highs - getting to perform in stadiums all summer, writing the most personal songs of my career and now getting to start a family with my amazing husband. We are just so grateful for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet this little gift from God.”
Tori Kelly talks about her marriage and working on music
In September 2024, Tori Kelly sat down with singer Terrell Grice on his show. She said that over the last four years, she had become a more confident version of herself.
She shared that being in a serious relationship felt like looking into a mirror because it showed parts of herself she hadn’t noticed before, even the annoying ones. She felt that these challenges helped both of them grow stronger together.
Grice then asked what difference she saw in her last two musical projects, to which Tori Kelly said:
“The last album would have been inspired by true events. As a songwriter and as an artist, I can't fake anything like whatever I'm going through, whatever I'm feeling, I have to just trust that and go with that and so at the time, I was trying to do like the big pop songs because you know my first album was definitely more pop.”
She went on:
“And so I thought okay let's keep it going and so I started writing songs like that but it just didn't feel authentic because my family, like my personal life was crazy, like my family was falling apart, you know, my parents were divorcing my grandfather passed away so that year was just like really wild for me.”
Tori Kelly believed the tough moments only made their love deeper, and even though more ups and downs would come in the future, she knew her husband was the person she wanted to spend her life with.
