English actress and model Cara Delevingne reportedly had an uncomfortable experience at the Paris Fashion Week on September 30. According to an X post by “@OliLondonTV,” the Paper Towns actress was seemingly upset as she had to wait in a queue for the Stella McCartney fashion show.
A report by Metro UK mentions that security personnel at the event failed to recognise her. However, she made her way to the front, saying:
“Ok, I’m just going to walk in, it’s getting crazy.”
She was then asked to show a QR code, but someone from her team told her that she did not have one. Cara then removed her sunglasses, and the security personnel recognized her, after which she was allowed to go. The security said:
“Oh, sorry, yes go in.”
The actress wore a black tank top. She also had a leather coat with her. At the show, she was seen seated beside Helen Mirren. Earlier at Paris Fashion Week, Cara Delevingne was seen on the L'Oréal runway, wearing a black gown.
What did Cara Delevingne say about modelling in the past?
In 2019, during an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, the actress discussed her struggles with identity. She said:
“I had no sense of who I was. I had no identity. All I had been was a mental illness, a child, a caretaker, or a supermodel, which just seemed so ridiculous to me.”
Cara Delevingne said she once felt like she was losing her values and self-respect, as if nothing was left inside her. She explained that she was giving too much of herself away to feel like she belonged, and she believed that being hired by others defined who she was. She mentioned:
“I really didn’t know who I was outside of work, so I needed to figure that out.”
During an interview with ELLE in September 2019, Cara Delevingne said what she liked most about modelling was that she looked pretty in the pictures. She opined:
“It’s not that I thought I was pretty, the person on the billboard was pretty. It became a f*cked-up way to look at the world. I knew it wasn’t going to contribute to a healthy lifestyle and human interaction.”
Cara Delevingne shares her thoughts about addiction
During an interview with Vogue in 2023, Cara Delevingne was asked why it was important for her to share her journey. She said she was a firm believer in honesty and believed others should be more open. She said:
“Everyone has been affected by the disease of addiction. Whether it's themselves, someone they know. It's so much more complicated than what people make it out to be.”
Cara Delevingne shared that it had been her first Christmas and New Year without drinking, and it turned out to be the best time of her life. She explained that even though people around her kept saying she needed help, it didn’t matter to her at the time because that’s how addiction worked. She also admitted she didn’t want to face her self-hate and other issues.
