Former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar has shared an update about his liver transplant. For the uninitiated, Kosar has been suffering from liver cirrhosis and also had Parkinson’s disease. On November 12, in a video on his official X account, he addressed his followers from a hospital bed. He said:“Hey, despite the winter storm out there and the first snow of the year and despite being in University hospital, despite not getting liver that I thought I was getting on this weekend and oh, unfortunately it being infected again, Sunday night after that bad Browns game and Monday morning, the bleeding started again.”He went on to say:“So, to have two aggressive procedures yesterday to help stop the bleeding and then unfortunately early this morning now to be heading down for a third procedure, I can’t tell you being under this duress right now.”Bernie Kosar said he looked for the love and support of fans and urged everyone to pray for him. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kosar has a net worth of $2 million. He was actively involved with the NFL from 1985 to 1996. His total earnings during his time with the NFL amount to $19 million.When he entered the NFL in 1985, he signed a $5.2 million contract for five years after he joined the Cleveland Browns. In the video, he said he was waking up from the procedure and the anaesthesia was lighter. He said:“No pain medication again today. Made it through all this pain without any of that.”He said even after the procedure, which was done under light anaesthesia, he could feel more cognitively present.
