Actor Brad Pitt has had an impressive career so far. However, he has been making headlines recently for his latest film, F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski. On July 2, 2025, he appeared on the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce.

Discussing his interests, Jason reflected on being a veteran in the field, whether it is football or acting. he noted how the younger generation was more into cellphones and social media. When Jason asked how he navigated the change as an actor, Pitt said:

“Yeah, I mean I at first, I had to suck up a lot of old man jokes. It was fair enough.”

He added:

“I like watching what the new generations are coming in with. I like to see what they're up against and also the way they negotiate their way through it. I think I feel like they enjoy it more. We were a little more uptight and had to be about acting and you didn't, you know, you didn't sell out. You didn't sell out. You didn't sell out.”

According to his IMDb profile, Brad Pitt did minor roles in fraternity shows. Later, he appeared in the 1964 drama, Another World, and then went on to act in Dallas. He also played a minor role in Thelma & Louise.

As the conversation with the Kelce brothers rolled on, Pitt shared that many young actors felt they needed to be in superhero movies or big film series to be successful. He believed they shouldn’t worry about that because those kinds of movies don’t last forever.

Brad Pitt shares how F1 pushed the actor into intense training and teamwork

Brad Pitt discussed making the F1 movie and revealed that it took a team of about 500 people to work on it. The actor shared that it felt like a science project because even tiny changes to the car, like adjusting the tires or wings by just a little bit, could make a big difference.

The actor explained that during real races, there are teams watching from far away and helping with race plans in real time. Brad Pitt also said the movie was made to be exciting for both F1 fans, who take the sport very seriously, and for people who don’t know much about racing.

He felt proud that the movie was fun for everyone. When Jason Kelce asked if he was into cars, Brad Pitt replied:

“I've always been into bikes. I mean, I do have in my DNA that, you know, that redneck gene that you know like motorbikes and barbecues and you know, we would we would ride anything. Anything we could ride, we would get on it. So, wheels were always a thing. But later in life, I really got into bikes.”

Jason Kelce asked how filming the F1 movie was different from making Fight Club. Brad Pitt explained that in Fight Club, he and Edward Norton had fun and acted without worrying too much. For the F1 movie, it was serious.

They trained hard and started driving the race cars four months before filming. Pitt also said the cars were amazing, and the one used in the movie was a special car made to look like a real F1 car.
