Former French actress Brigitte Bardot was admitted to the Saint Jean Hospital, where she had a minor surgery, which was done due to her serious illness.

According to a report by Rolling Stone, the actress is recovering from a health issue. The 91-year-old actress is expected to be released from the hospital soon.

In 2023, the former actress faced a health issue after she had difficulty breathing. Thereafter, first responders were called to her place. She was given oxygen, and medical professionals observed her health, per The Los Angeles Times. At the time, in a statement to a local media outlet, her husband, Bernard d’Ormale, said:

“It was around 9 a.m. when Brigitte had trouble breathing. It was stronger than usual but she didn’t lose consciousness… the firemen came and gave her oxygen and then stayed to monitor her. Like all people of a certain age, she can no longer stand the heat.”

He said that Brigitte Bardot’s health deteriorated due to excessive heat that year. Bernard said her condition was a moment of “respiratory distraction.”

In a 2010 interview with British Vogue, Brigitte Bardot said that she has had suicidal tendencies many a time, but according to her, the fact that she is alive is nothing less than a miracle. Speaking about her views on politics, she said:

“I am shocking, impertinent and insolent that's how it is. I never regret anything but I am greatly misunderstood by politically correct id**ts. Politics disgusts me.”

She also said:

“My parents gave me a strict upbringing, which at times has caused me to suffer distress but today I am grateful to them for it. I think they were impressed but found themselves at odds with this career, which was beyond their comprehension.”
