Brooklyn Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham, addressed the rumored feud between him and his family for the first time. The alleged rift that happened over the past few months reportedly left Brooklyn estranged from his parents and siblings.

On September 24, he was in attendance at the Ryder Cup, where he exclusively spoke to the Daily Mail about the rumors. When asked how he dealt with the public opinion about the alleged rift, he said:

“There's always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we're happy.”

He further added:

“Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It's good fun.”

The exact nature of the rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his family is unknown, but he has mostly been absent from family gatherings. For instance, he wasn’t there at his father’s 50th birthday.

Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, tied the knot in 2022, but they recently had a recommitment ceremony. However, no members of his family were reportedly present there. They were also not present at Victoria’s birthday in April. The last time all of them were seen together was on Boxing Day 2024.

According to Us Weekly, in June, a source said that David and Victoria Beckham had gone from feeling sad about their situation with Brooklyn Beckham. They eventually accepted that there was nothing more they could do. They decided not to talk about it anymore and believed it was now up to Brooklyn if he wanted to fix things.

Brooklyn Beckham talks about childhood, concerts, and paparazzi

In an interview with InStyle in 2024, Brooklyn Beckham looked back on his childhood, saying he had a crazy one, but he was happy. He told the magazine outlet:

“It was hectic because my dad played football and my mum was a Spice Girl. Spice Girls was the first few years of my life, so it was hectic. We were always doing something. But, I have the best mum and dad in the world and it was a lot of fun.”

Brooklyn Beckham said he went to many Spice Girl concerts and had great memories from them. He shared that he wouldn’t change anything and that, to him, his parents were his mom and dad, not celebrities. Looking back on his parents’ wedding, he said:

“I always know how long they’ve been married because it’s just my age.”

He also said it was normal for him to be surrounded by photographers. Sharing his thoughts about paparazzi, he mentioned:

“I love paparazzi, man. They’re so lovely. They’re such nice people. No…they’ve always been there. I just try and forget about them, do my thing. But yeah, they’re fine.”

Brooklyn Beckham said he wanted to respect his wife’s last name, too. After thinking about it for a long time, they both liked the idea that when they had kids, the children would carry both last names, Peltz and Beckham.
