What happened to Darci Rose? Investigation underway as Holly Hagan mourns her sister’s tragic passing at 19

TV personality Holly Hagan’s sister, Darci Rose, died at the age of 19. According to a report by The Daily Mail, it is suspected that Rose might have consumed intoxicants, after which she fell ill. The Greater Manchester Police also shared a statement in this regard with the outlet, saying:

“On Sunday 19 October 2025 we were called by hospital staff to the concern for welfare of a 19-year-old woman who had fallen seriously ill after it is believed she had taken dr*gs. Sadly, the woman died in hospital Monday evening. Our thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Holly Hagan also shared a lengthy statement about Darci’s death on Instagram on October 20. She wrote:

“It is with immeasurable grief and sadness that our baby girl, my baby sister Darci Rose passed away peacefully holding my hand surrounded by family & her best friends. She was never in any pain. The last 4 days have been something I hope no family ever has to go through.”

Holly Hagan said that their family had been quite traumatized following the incident. She is hopeful that she will be able to share Darci’s story someday. Holly requested that everyone allow them some privacy during this grieving period. She also requested the press not to write anything about the incident that could affect the family members’ mental health. Her post was captioned:

“Goodnight baby girl you are and have always been so loved.”

In her Instagram post, Holly Hagan thanked the ambulance team and hospital staff for taking good care of her sister. She said their efforts gave her family the chance to be with her sister one last time, holding her hand and feeling her heartbeat. She shared that her family would always be thankful for the kindness and care they received during such a painful time. The post continued:

“Right now my job is to support my family in any way that I can to ensure they don't have to worry about work / finances. Any posts you see this month are pre recorded and scheduled ahead of time. I will be continuing to work so they do not have to.”

Holly Hagan went on to praise Darci, saying she was beautiful and never realized it. Remembering old times, she mentioned how she would often tell Darci that she would look better without spider lashes. However, she called herself a hypocrite, saying she would be the one to wear nine pairs when she was her age. Holly wrote in the post:

“She lived in Darci world, forgetting to turn lights off, didn't know how to lock doors after coming in from a night out, leaving the freezer open so my mam came down to a puddle of defrosted food. She was the best aunty, Alpha-Jax adored her. She spent his whole birthday on the bouncy castle with AJ and alba, and that's a memory I'll cherish forever.”

Holly Hagan said she wasn’t sure if she was reacting how people usually do when they’re grieving, but she felt her sister was giving her strength and watching over the family like a guardian angel.
