Singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes had a dental emergency on stage while her show was underway. While performing at a show in Washington’s Skagit Casino Resort, the singer had to leave the stage as her partial denture came out. This happened while she was singing One Way Ticket.
Addressing the incident, she shared a self-recorded video on Instagram on June 21, 2025. She began the video by saying it was a little story for her viewers, she said it was about how the “show must go on.” LeAnn Rimes added:
“This is the most epic example of how the show must go on. So, last night, I was on stage. In the middle of One Way Ticket, I feel something pop in my mouth and if you have been around, you know I have had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”
LeAnn Rimes went on:
“I panicked in the middle and said, ‘hold on’ and ran to the side of the stage and put it back in like popped it back in and then just went on singing. And then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have to walk off stage.”
The singer said she had to keep readjusting the dental bridge throughout the remainder of the show. Rimes joked that the situation made her realize the syllables in her song, especially Can’t Fight the Moonlight. She said it was her first dental emergency on stage—and hopefully her last.
LeAnn Rimes’ health struggles explored
LeAnn Rimes also posted another video on the social media platform, where she was seen singing More to Lose by Miley Cyrus. The post was jokingly captioned:
“This song is so fun to sing, even when your bridge is hanging on for dear life… nothing more to lose, when you’ve already lost your teeth and dignity on stage.”
This wasn’t the first time LeAnn has been candid about personal health experiences. In 2024, she underwent cervical dysplasia surgery. In an Instagram post, she shared that a routine pap smear from a few months earlier had shown abnormal results. Her doctors closely monitored these changes through regular tests.
However, a pap and colposcopy later revealed high-grade cervical dysplasia, and she and her doctor decided that undergoing a LEEP procedure was the best option to remove the abnormal cells. Although the procedure is typically done without anesthesia, LeAnn Rimes chose to be under because she preferred to feel more comfortable.
She also encouraged fans to keep up with routine checkups, adding that open conversations around women’s health can help remove stigma and promote proactive care.
In 2013, LeAnn Rimes filed a lawsuit against a dentist, alleging that she was not treated properly. The suit was filed against Duane C. McKay and accused him of causing distress to her career due to various dental procedures over three years. However, according to Business Standard, she dismissed the lawsuit the same year. It is worth noting that she dismissed only the corporate entity, not the entire case.
