What happened to Pink? Singer reveals she spent her New Year's Eve in the hospital

Singer and songwriter Alecia Beth Moore-Hart, also known as Pink, seems to have spent New Year’s Eve in the hospital. On December 31, she posted a selfie from her hospital bed wearing a hospital gown. In a lengthy caption, she revealed that she had to undergo surgery on her neck to get two discs. Meanwhile, bidding adieu to 2025, Pink wrote:

“I want to say Happy New Year’s to everyone. I am so happy to say goodbye to the snake year and welcome in the horse. I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025. This year was a doozy for all of us and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying. In amongst all of that, there was so much beauty.”

Pink went on to write:

“And I got to wake up every day and get out of bed and go about my business. The business of loving my children and helping them to follow their dreams. Showing them that life is an adventure or nothing at all. Loving and laughing, cooking and dancing, crying and screaming, forgiving and apologizing, and all the rest of our beautiful messiness. So much beauty in amongst it all.”

The singer mentioned that she lost many important people in her life. At the same time, she also met new people. She said she got to experience dreams and nightmares in 2025. Mentioning her health, Pink wrote:

“And I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body. It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth. Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport.”

Here’s what Pink hopes to see in 2026

In the Instagram post, Pink wrote that even though she was at the hospital, she was happy to know her family was having a good time snowboarding. Looking forward to 2026, she felt optimistic about it. She hoped every person could have the choice of making a wish. According to her:

“I know that isn’t a reality for some. I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families and this very pursuit of happiness. Let’s do better for ourselves and for others. Let’s not be afraid to take care of ourselves and others.”

Despite everything, Pink said that she would like to focus on the joyful parts and leave behind all the hurt. Similarly, she would focus on having positive thoughts and do away with the negative ones. She wrote:

“And I’m going to rage against the dying of the light. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness. #onwardsand upwards as my father used to say.”

Pink shared New Year wishes and hoped everyone got more joy. In the end, she wished people would find the horsepower within themselves.
