Kelley and Scott Wolf are ending their 21-year marriage after The Challenge alum announced their separation on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Five months before they officially split, the Party of Five actor spoke to Us Weekly about the challenges their family has been facing. While reflecting upon the struggles and issues, Scott claimed how the “last few years” haven’t been ideal. He told Us Weekly,

“The last few years have presented life in a way that we hadn’t experienced before. These are not life and death issues, but reframing issues, things that have, kind of, challenges, and watching our family go through things that have presented challenges … to find our way through in ways that have changed the way I see happiness.”

He explained,

“My family’s been through some stuff over the past few years. This period of time has been weird for a lot of people. And we sort of got blown in the wind a little bit, moved around a bunch, and [I] watched my children deal with all of that.”

Scott Wolf shares three kids with his estranged wife – two sons and a daughter. Earlier this year, Kelley posted on Instagram about their children’s health struggles that began at the end of December. She shared her selfie and wrote about her daughter being hospitalized twice. Lucy, Kelley and Scott Wolf’s youngest child, was initially hospitalized for “severe dehydration.”

At the time, the 11-year-old tested negative on everything and was discharged soon. According to Kelley Wolf, Lucy’s fever spiked within three days. The Real World: New Orleans alum wrote,

“After being home for three days, she spiked a fever of 105.7 and was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital. Where she was admitted, and we stayed for four days.”

At the time, Kelley confirmed that Scott Wolf was away from home and was promoting Doc. She further revealed that her oldest son was also struggling with a fever. Kelley stated that when Lucy was admitted to the hospital, she had “the flu, salmonella, and extreme gastroenteritis, as well as other very uncomfortable things.” Wolf added,

“She was in pretty bad shape and we are extremely grateful to the care we received at children’s Hospital.”

According to Kelley, when Lucy was discharged, they “came home to two more sick people in the house.” Apart from giving the health updates, Kelley also thanked everyone for their kind messages. She also confirmed that her kids were still recovering at the time of the post.

Kelley Wolf praised Scott Wolf for being “one of the best fathers,” while announcing their separation

In one of her recent Instagram uploads, The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans star posted a picture of a lion with three birds. In the caption, Kelley announced the separation from Scott Wolf by writing,

“It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage.”

She reflected upon their marriage being a “long, quiet journey” for her that was “rooted in hope, patience, and care” for their kids. Kelley refrained from revealing any details about the separation but praised her husband by writing,

“Scott Wolf is one of the best fathers I’ve ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit.”

She added,

“We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children. My priority has always been their wellbeing—and my own healing. That will never change.”

Kelley also asked everyone to respect their privacy and concluded by writing,

“May we all remember: healing isn’t loud. It’s sacred.”

According to Us Weekly, Scott had also lauded Kelley for being with him through “challenging times,” months before they separated. The Nancy Drew actor called his estranged wife “an incredible mother and human being,” during his exclusive chat with the magazine.
