The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing in the Christmas cheer with Travis Kelce's claymation version playing the protagonist of an animated short. The holiday feature was released on the Chiefs' social media channels in collaboration with The Elf On The Shelf on Tuesday.People reported that, apart from Travis Kelce, the video also features a special narrator, his mother, Donna Kelce. The teaser revolves around an Elf on the Shelf, named 'Kelce on the Shelfie'. The full short titled Merry Mischief will premiere on Christmas Eve, completing Kelce on the Shelfie and the Chiefs' adventurous tale. People noted that the animated film narrates a tale of how Kelce on the Shelfie takes the team on a ride, before their game against the Denver Broncos on December 25. Travis Kelce's mother, Donna, begins the tale with how the Kansas City Chiefs found the elf. She narrates,"It was the month before Christmas, almost the Thanksgiving game. When the Chiefs found an elf, one that needed a name."The clip then goes on to show how Travis Kelce's animated version agrees to the name "Kelce on the Shelfie" and eventually becomes a core "part of the team." Donna continues,"It was match made in heaven, almost like a dream! The team up and left for they had a game to play, but the elf had big plans while they were away."People magazine reported that the holiday short is a part of the team's annual holiday celebrations, dubbed the Kingdom Christmas. Mark Donovan, Chiefs' President, expressed the festive season's excitement in a press release to the news outlet. He noted,"The holidays have always been about bringing people together, and there’s nothing quite like the energy in Chiefs Kingdom this time of year."He added,"Christmas gives us a unique opportunity to unite our fans, celebrate our community, and create moments that last forever. With 'Merry Mischief' and a full month of holiday fun, we’re embracing everything that makes this team and this city so special."The full mischievous tale of Kelce on the Shelfie will premiere on Christmas Eve, a day before the Chiefs face off with the Denver Broncos.
