Kim Woodburn’s unmistakable voice and sharp wit returned to screens one last time, three months after her death.

The late TV personality, who passed away on June 16 at age 83 due to a short illness, appeared in Channel 5’s Supermarket Own Brands: The Big Taste Test.

The program, filmed more than a year ago, paired her with host Mason McLaughlin and actor Neil Burgess, best known from the Cillit Bang commercials. Together, the trio compared name-brand staples against supermarket alternatives and shared their verdicts in trademark no-nonsense style.

For Woodburn's fans, seeing the celebrity back on screen was bittersweet. Some flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to share their feelings about her return onscreen, if only in spirit.

"Everyone go and tune in to Kim Woodburn’s final TV appearance on channel 5…please do that folks!" one viewer urged.
"I’ve always liked Kim Woodburn. She has a keen sense of smell for bulls**t and spoke plainly. She was a one off," another commented.

Ahead of the broadcast, Mason McLaughlin marked the moment by posting a smiling photo of himself next to the late TV personality, writing:

“Next Tuesday 9th September 7pm tune in to channel5_tv with myself and I was lucky to film with @kimwoodburn."

Another account also shared via X as the program aired.

"Kim Woodburn’s final ever TV appearance is airing now on Channel 5. Comparing supermarket foods! GBNF [heart emoji]"

Kim Woodburn: Remembering the "Queen of Clean"

Woodburn had been largely out of the public eye for months before her passing in June. Her last known public appearance was in January at the funeral of RuPaul’s Drag Race winner The Vivienne in Wales.

When announcing her passing, her representative told the Daily Mail:

“It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.”

The statement continued:

“We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.”

Woodburn, who was dubbed the "Queen of Clean," rose to fame on Channel 4's How Clean is Your House? before she became a regular fixture on Loose Women and This Morning.

Her resumé includes competing in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! (2009) and Celebrity Big Brother (2017).

In the months before her death, she scaled back public work due to health issues, pausing fan videos on Cameo and canceling professional commitments. At the time, her husband used her Instagram account to clarify she was too unwell to film.

Kim Woodburn's final onscreen outing serves as a fitting reminder of her trademark blunt humor and larger-than-life presence that made her a household name.
