She said it goes back to the time she was in a church. She remembered that the pastor announced that they would have a special guest and read out their biography. Goldsberry thought about who that person might be. She was shocked when the pastor mentioned her name. The singer said:“He said my name, I was shocked. How did I not recognize myself? I realized it’s because it had excluded every challenge I’d been through. I had had a couple of really emotionally painful miscarriages that were quite public, and somehow, this introduction of me, just excluded that, because that’s what you do.”When asked about the first song she wrote, Renee Goldsberry said it was in high school. The boy she loved left her. She said:“ I walked around the campus of Cranbrook in Michigan so sad, so heartbroken, so abandoned, left with all of these 17-year-old emotions. The song is called, brace yourself, “Left Alone.””Renee Goldsberry also said that working with Lin was interesting because they were different from each other. She explained that both of them always wanted things to be perfect, but most perfectionists felt like their work was never good enough. Lin, however, liked to share his ideas even before they were finished, and he kept working nonstop to make things better. Also Read: Rapper Lil Jon makes Muscle Beach Championship debut, wins third place
