Gracie Abrams got the opportunity of a lifetime performing alongside Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour in Toronto, but the moment wasn't without its nerves for the rising star.
The Close to You songstress appeared on the fifth episode of the Disney+ docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, where she spoke about her experience sharing the stage with the pop icon, who said the video:
"We were very lucky, we got six nominators. And one of those was for a song I did with Gracie while we were still on The Eras Tour a year ago."

The two released the collaborative single, Us, in 2024, which earned a nod from the 2025 GRAMMY Awards for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Taylor Swift went on:
"This time last year, she and I went out to celebrate in between shows. We ended up having a lot of drinks. And then we ended up writing a song that we’re really proud of, and it just got nominated for a Grammy. So I just thought, 'Wouldn’t it be cool to do that song in Toronto, kind of create a special moment?'"
In another clip, Gracie Abrams is seen working with Swift on the song. She then compliments the Blank Space hitmaker for being a "mastermind" behind the medley they would perform in Toronto, all the while she reminds herself to get it together.
"It's just insane. She can do that in her sleep where it's like, 'I'm gonna chop up two to five songs and make them all.' She's just a mastermind."

The Blowing Smoke singer adds in the docuseries that she needs to:
"write in Sharpie on my arm, 'Don’t pass out, the structure of the song.' Catch me projectile vomiting on the Eras Stage."
Apart from their duet in Toronto, Gracie Abrams also joined Taylor Swift in Cincinnati, Ohio, London, and Vancouver.
Gracie Abrams reveals "half-drunk" moment with Taylor Swift while creating Us
This isn't the first time for Gracie Abrams to talk about collaborating with the Love Story icon.
In her Vogue Spain interview last October, she opened up about creating Us while both of them were "half-drunk."
"It's funny because I feel like I've known Taylor my whole life, even before we actually met. I grew up with her songs; she's soundtracked important moments in our lives, so her voice has always been very present and I was already learning from her since her music came into my world."

The That's So True crooner revealed that she and Taylor Swift connected through producer Aaron Dressner, who worked with the latter on her folklore album.
"We caught up and ended up going back to her house to listen to whatever albums we were working on at the time. She was in the middle of The Tortured Poets Department [2024], and I was in the middle of The Secret of Us . We started jamming and, half-drunk, wrote the whole song. And that's the story. It was hilarious."
