Amidst Taylor Swift’s recent announcement about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, a new theory has sparked interest among the fans, which is connected with Kanye West. On August 13, Distractify published a piece explaining the theory and mentioned that her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, could be an exploration of the concept of karma.

TikTok user @alyssayung noted that the primary color palette that Taylor Swift chooses for the album is orange-based, which is quite similar to West’s 2016 album, The Life of Pablo.

The TikToker notes that the two albums begin with the same three words. On a recent episode of Hot Mics with Billy Bush, he said:

“When you go to a search engine and you type in ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ ‘The life of a’ comes up before ‘The Life of Pablo,’ Kanye’s album. So, I think that’s a dig at Kanye. I do. I think those two will fight with each other for eternity. They are like Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell.”

Speaking about Taylor Swift’s album, Billy Bush noted:

“The album is mint, green, and orange, which is the colors of copper oxidizing like the very life of a showgirl. I love that. At the end of her Era's concert, she walks through an orange door, which is actually at the end of the song Karma, signifying a new era, which is where we are.”

Meanwhile, an X user (@kelviiisss) wrote that either Taylor Swift was extremely clever and strategic or her fans were overthinking the connection. They mentioned seeing a TikTok video suggesting that her upcoming album might be connected to Kanye West, noting that he had an album called The Life of Pablo, which they found surprising.

What happened initially between Taylor Swift and Kanye West

Reports claim that the feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift goes back to 2009 during the VMA Awards. At the time, when she was on stage to accept the award, West barged in and said Beyoncé should have received the Best Female Music Video award. As per the Daily Mail, he said:

“Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all-time! One of the best videos of all-time.”

West then released The Life of Pablo, which included a track named "Famous." The song contains lines mentioning that Swift allowed West to refer to her as a b*tch. This was followed by various claims by the two singers. Kanye West allegedly said he sought her permission to add the word in the lyrics, but her publicist said he did not, CBS News notes.

Sharing several X posts (formerly tweets), Kanye West claimed that he had never insulted Taylor Swift in the song. He also explained that, as an artist, he spoke freely about his feelings, had asked his wife for her approval, and had also discussed the lyric with Taylor for an hour, during which she found it funny and gave her approval. He added that the idea for the line originally came from Taylor herself.
