Vin Diesel has revealed new details about the next and final movie in the Fast & Furious series. Speaking at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California, Diesel addressed fans and gave updates on Fast & Furious 11. He appeared at the event alongside Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker.

During his short speech, Diesel shared the studio’s request to release the final film in April 2027. He also outlined the three conditions he gave the studio before agreeing to the date. These conditions offered a clear idea of where the franchise is headed.

The actor also teased the possible return of Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner. This has raised questions among fans, as Walker died in a car accident in 2013. The return of Brian would likely involve digital technology or unused footage.

What are Vin Diesel’s conditions for the final movie?

Vin Diesel said that he agreed to the April 2027 release date under three specific conditions. These were important to him and, according to Diesel, to the fans as well.

“The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of ‘Fast and Furious’ [in] April 2027?’ I said, ‘Under three conditions,’” Diesel told the crowd at Fuel Fest.

His first condition was to bring the franchise back to Los Angeles—the city where the story began in the first Fast & Furious movie in 2001. Diesel said he believes the series should end where it started.

“First, is to bring the franchise back to L.A.!” he said.

The second condition was to return to the street racing and car culture that originally made the series popular. Over time, the films moved away from cars and focused more on action scenes and big explosions.

“The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing!” Diesel explained.

The third condition surprised many fans. Diesel said he wants to reunite his character, Dominic Toretto, with Brian O’Conner, played by the late Paul Walker.

“The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner,” Diesel added.

How could Brian O’Conner return to the franchise?

Paul Walker died in 2013, so bringing his character back is complicated. The last time Brian O’Conner appeared was in Furious 7 (2015), which used digital effects and help from Paul’s brothers to complete the film after his death.

Vin Diesel did not explain how the character would return. But many believe the studio may use CGI again to include Brian in the final film. This is a sensitive topic because many fans—and the Walker family—feel strongly about respecting Paul’s legacy.

In earlier films, Brian’s character was shown to be alive but living a quiet life away from the team. This allowed the franchise to preserve his memory without recasting the role.

If Brian does return, it will likely be in a short scene or tribute. Diesel’s comment shows how important Paul Walker still is to the heart of the series.

Vin Diesel’s appearance at Fuel Fest gave fans something to look forward to. The promise of a return to Los Angeles, street racing, and a possible reunion with Brian O’Conner shows that the franchise wants to honor its roots. With the final film expected in April 2027, fans now have to wait to see how this long-running story will end.
